Why have the price doubled in only weeks?

I had to laugh at the answer “they are trying to get us to buy the Starbucks brand” …huh? What evidence and research led to this preposterous answer?? The facts are that many commodities are at a shortage because of the global pandemic. Some of them- depending on where they are from- are harder to get than others. Coffee is grown all over the world and some of the varieties are in short supply. This happened earlier in the year with certain Dolce Gusto capsules. There is no “plot” under way to “get you to buy Starbucks” DG wants us to buy THEIR brand… ( how crazy!)
