A great gift idea
I gave this to my four year old, and they have not stopped playing with it since. They love the fact that the bird can repeat what you say to it. When used it has a cute little bird tweet noise and pretty lights on its 'wing'. Also when not in use, it can sit on a swing and almost looks like a real little bird.

My 2-year-old son is obsessed with birds. He loves them. My older daughters (5 and 7) have a version of this toy that they have had and loved for a few years. I thought it was such an odd item for them to pick out at the store. But, they have loved it and consistently play with it, even now. My son found it and decided it was his. So, I HAD to buy him his own little birdy. This one is perfect. It is a good size for him (and his sisters), it is easy to manipulate and play with, it has stood up to my kids and their antics. The cage is slightly less sturdy than the one I bought a few years ago, but it hasn't presented any issues so far (2 months of use so far). If we didn't have the old one, I wouldn't be bothered by the construction or materials of the cage. The bird talks when you press the button and will repeat things back to you in a cute little bird voice. It says, "I love you" a lot and is just super sweet. I don't like a lot of animated toys with lights and sounds. But, I don't mind this one, because it is so simple and still encourages imaginative play. My kids will secretly press the button when someone is talking, then play it back to them as a "prank." They think it is hilarious. It is definitely a fun little toy.
