The Study Guide is a great adjunct to KRN’s big mat book
The Red Thread of Pilates:The Mat©️Study Guide By Tracy Murstaud.... or as I call it, the study guide for the bookthat was so monumental a read it needed its own book to help you work your way through it. Great job Tracy, it was a super human task and a necessary one.Tracy has further broken down and explained the threads, and where each exercise lives within its respective threads. Not all exercises have more than one thread that they belong to, and others belong to several, and their place is based upon the foundation already built, or needs to build in order to advance.Tracy’s guide shows you the add next order, which is not necessarily the perform next order, AND she also shows where it is in the Performance order. She explains more thoroughly the variations that Kathi shows for each exercise, and note, they are not for variety’s sake, but because the body has shown a need for a particular modification. The guide directs you back to the big book, it is written to be used in tandem with the big book. It is not a substitute for the wealth of knowledge between those covers. The Guide further breaks down and explains in a baby step sort of way, making the monumental amount of info more easily digested and assimilated. If you have the big book, do yourself a favor and get this study guide. It’s all things you wished you’d known when you start working through it.Another great thing is the text is large so you won’t get any morewrinkles by squinting

Great Book!
This is a great accompaniment to the BIG red book, The Red Thread by Kathy Ross Nash. The Study guide breaks down the exercises in a more simpler form, organized to help find exercises you need to reference quicker in Kathy’s Book as well as a progression checklist to use and take notes as you study the exercises from the Building blocks to the super advanced! I am in love with the 100 all over again. You do need Kathy’s book, The Red Thread, this Book will not make any since without it.

More like an index of KR’s book
This book arrived today and I will mail it back tomorrow. It is not an actual study guide, it’s an outline, more like an index of KR’s book, which I’ve owned since it was first published. I ordered it because I thought it would be a fun addition but it’s nothing I’ll ever use. I excpected a real study guide, the title is misleading.
