Strong and safe
I'm tired of the cheap flimsy plastic gasoline cans that are often purchased in big-box stores. When it comes to storing gasoline for my power equipment, safety is my main concern. The Eagle Type II Metal Safety Can fills the bill. Ruggedly built it will undoubtedly stand the test of heavy use. The filler spring is tight but allows vapors to vent off easily. The 5/8" spout will fit into an automobile filler should the need arise with superior convenience. This is the last gas can I will ever need to buy.

Too difficult to fill
Bought this to use for storing VP Racing fuel - requiring a metal container to prevent the fuel from degrading over time. When I received it, I realized that it would be almost impossible to transfer fuel from another can, or even fill from a pump nozzle, without have a second person hold the spring-loaded fill cap open.Chose another option that was also California-compliant but can be operated by a single person.

The silver metal rod handle is now a molded yellow plastic part
The metal rod handle is now a molded yellow plastic part. It's still easier to operate if you have small hands, as it needs to be pulled up pretty close to the red painted carrying handle to pour gas.The molded yellow plastic handle looks pretty tough to me ... I'm confident it will hold up at least for my limited use. When you squeeze the yellow handle, one end pulls open the valve to let the gas flow, and the other end pushes up on the spring loaded cover, to let air in.

You'll love this metal gas can, MADE IN THE USA! (FU China)
So far this can works very well. The 5/8's filler allows you to refill an automobile without spilling. easy to fill as the gas pump. I bought this can and the JustRite Accuflow 5 gal can at the same time for a comparison. I like the Eagle safety can spout much more compared to the Justrite AccuFlow (7250120). The Justrite requires you to bolt on the filler spout and one of the bolts wasn't in the packaging. That was a pain to drive to the hardware store for a bolt just to attach the pour spout. The Eagle can is about 1-1/2 inches larger in diameter and 2 inches shorter compared to the JustRite Can. In the back of the truck the Eagle can remains stable in turns and doesn't fall over. Also, made in the USA. I'd give it six stars if I could.
