Q: Does braided fishing line work well with these releases?

I used them with mono for a while, was getting inconsistent releases with them. I don’t use braid while trolling, I found that the depth of how far in you placed the line in the release effected how it would release. Too hard to get consistent releases with them. Ended up switching to Blacks Releases.

Q: How big is the duo lock on this item

It’s big enough to get the line in however I stopped using these and switched to blacks releases. I found the release in these were too inconsistent which seemed to be dependent upon where the line was placed in the release. The further in the line was placed the harder the release was. So when you got a hit on a smaller fish it would not release. You couldn’t reliably place the line in the same spot all the time. So I don’t use them. I have four I’ll sell you.
