An amazing buy for young children
Colourful, educational, and full of so much that it makes it excellent value for money. I've bought this for a few other parents too!

Lovely
This book is really sweet. Originally saw it in Liberty, but they stopped selling it so I bought it on Amazon. The illustrations are beautiful with a mid-century classic look. I’ve been looking at it with my 4 month old baby… very young but she seems to love it.

Very attractive book...
It's a lovely book. I bought it as a gift for a one year old. Parents seemed to appreciate it - it's one of those books that perhaps appeal more to grown-ups....and I wonder if toddlers will really be able to pick out stuff from these types of books rather than the more brightly coloured, tackier types .... we'll see.

Great book
Lovely book with lots of pictures for my toddler to find. He loves finding things and pointing them out at the moment. I think we will get a lot of use out of this book.Minor negative points - The pages are paper rather than boardbook so potential to tear easily!Wording is American English so the word colour and grey is written as color and gray but neither of these things bother me much.

A firm favourite
This book is amazing. My daughter loves it (she is 16 months old) and it’s so educational. It’s definitely a firm favourite in our book-loving household.

I wish it were simply one thousand different physical things illustrated in a similar style to the cover.
The cover of the book is lovely, it's the part our 2 year old enjoys the most - simply pointing at the objects he knows and saying the word - and I wish the pages inside were similar. There are plenty of lovely illustrations, but there are a few where the flat style means it's not clear to a toddler what they are supposed to be! I suppose my main gripe is that there are not one thousand different words illustrated in this book, which you might imagine from the title. There are a hundred or so including quite a few abstract concepts (e.g. "taste") which really aren't best conveyed by illustrations.I wish it were simply one thousand different physical things illustrated in a similar style to the cover.
