I decided to try this monitor mainly to measure my Ketone levels (I already have a glucose monitor so didn't necessarily need it for that). It is easy to use and comes with 10 strips for Ketone and 10 strips for Glucose. Since I only measure my Ketone level weekly, that will last over 2 months so I feel the price for the Keto refill strips is reasonable (Since my insurance will pay for the Glucose strips for my other monitor, I prefer to not use this monitor for Glucose readings for that reason only. I've only had it a couple of weeks but it is a good and reliable monitor and I recommend it for anyone who wants accurate readings of their Ketone levels.

I love living the keto lifestyle and this product helps me to check my level of ketosis. I appreciate that it also checks my glucose because it pin points just how well balanced I am. Simple to use and testing is accurate. I work in a hospital laboratory where I had my ketones and glucose tested drawn by vein, and then immediately tested with the keto mojo. Very close in readings, maybe just a fraction off each other. The only issue is the price, naturally. For glucose strips, it’s not so bad, but ketone strips at .99 each is a bit expensive. It’s that way with all meters as I found out. Hopefully they can reduce this price in the near future as more people would buy them then.

These have worked well for me. The only times I got errors were when the blood droplet was not large enough to completely fill the chamber. The ketone strips require considerably more blood than the glucose strips, so be ready for that.I see many complaints about the price. I suppose a lot of this is due to the much higher cost of these vs. glucose test strips. I have several counterpoints:1. These are the cheapest ketone test strips on the market (or they were when the review I read was published last summer...I haven't checked current prices).2. Ketone and glucose strips are not identical. I have no actual knowledge of how they're made, but it's reasonable and likely that ketone strips simply cost more to manufacture.3. The biggie: market economies of scale and competition. The market for glucose testers is huge compared to ketone testers. Just in the US, there are millions of Type II diabetics, all of whom should ideally be testing more than once a day (or going on a low-carb diet so they don't really need much insulin and testing). AFAIK, only Type I diabetics have a real need for ketone testing (and maybe very late-stage Type IIs who have blown out their pancreas). That's not a very large group, by comparison, and most people doing a keto diet don't have much real need to test frequently, so they don't add greatly to the demand. At a wild guess, I'd bet the market for glucose strips is at least 100 and probably 1000 times as large as the demand for ketone strips. That's going to lead to economies of scale that reduce the cost per strip, and fierce competition that forces the sellers to accept a smaller profit margin per strip.

I see people dogging this meter on here. Let me tell you all something. This meter works fantastic. If you need a keto meter, this is the only one i would recommend. It is accurate if you do it properly. And for the love of GOD it has a lifetime warranty. If you have any doubts they will replace it. They offer to replace strips if you a beginner and mess a couple up. Testing you blood is a bit of a science. Out of the 40 or so strips i have used with this meter, i only messed up one and its because i smeared it on accident. If i could give it 100 stars I would and just by the comments on Amazon, you can tell this is stand up company. Life long customer of KETO-MOTO. I wish more companies would be as responsive as these guys.

Keto Mojo is definitely much better for the price than the other products on amazon. I’ve seen a lot of people bashing this product but i don’t know why. My Keto Mojo has worked great and I’ve had zero issues. The lancets with this one don’t hurt much and they get plenty of blood from your finger - all you have to do is adjust the height for how deep you want it to puncture a hole.I don’t use this for glucose, i use it specifically for the ketogenetic diet. I’ve checked my ketone levels while eating and I’ve been in nutritional ketosis (0.9mmol/L), I’ve checked while doing 8:16 fasts and I’ve been in ketosis (1.5mmol/L) and I’ve checked while doing a 24+ hour fast, and have been in heavier ketosis (2.4mmol/L). So as far as readings go this device has been pretty accurate. I can see that I’m doing everything correctly since ketone levels are where they should be.I’ve had zero problems turning it on, getting proper readings, or anything else. The KEY THING is make sure you have enough blood to sample before you put it in the device or it will give you an error. Very simple.Again, anyone using this for keto diet, i highly recommend it.
