With hindsight, I feel my original review of this upgraded knife was a little harsh, so I have decided to revise it to be more reasonable. Full disclosure, I have been in touch with Roxon support (directly from China). They explained why they made the changes they did, and although I am still not a fan of losing the single-hand operation, I do understand why they opted and even had to do what they did with the S502U redesign.The knife is very well made. It's also a very handsome knife. The G10 casing is a nice upgrade. I have no way of knowing how the original metal casing felt in comparison, but I can imagine it feels similar (if not the same) to the Roxon S501 scissor/knife combo that I also own. I do actually like the S501 all metal casing, but I would probably like it more if it was G10.All the accessory blades that I purchased for the Roxon S802 fit the S502U well and it is easy and quick to change them out. It is nice to be able to carry around a single blade when it is not feasible/possible to carry around the heavier/bulkier S802.Honestly, I would probably rate this knife 4 stars, deducting one star for losing the single-handed operation. However, I really do appreciate how much Roxon support has reached out and followed up with me, and feel that alone should at least be worth 1 star. You cannot really go wrong with Roxon. I have bought several of their tools/knives/blades, and they are all rather high quality. Add to that excellent customer support and it makes Roxon a brand to be reckoned with in the knife/tool industry.

I like the look of this knife and I love the innovative idea of swapping blades. I've been using it with the hawk-billed "electrical work" blade for about two weeks. People who complain it can't be opened one-handed; simply pinch the blade with your thumb and forefinger and swing the handle toward you and it swings open with one hand, no problem. And it's razor sharp.Where the design is severely flawed though is in the quick change blades. The two tabs that allow you to disassemble the knife are far too easy to engage and I've taken it out of my pocket half-dismantled multiple times. This is obviously a problem and safety concern. I hope in the future they improve the locking tabs with stronger springs or make the locks curved like on the Roxon Phantom multi-tool. Until then, I can carry this in my pocket in good faith. Will keep it as a bedside tool but that's all I can trust it as for now.

Great knife! It is everything I expected.

Clip point blade was razor sharp right out of the box. Easy blade changes and wide selection of optional blades and tools make this knife a great choice for your emergency kit.Only complaint is the thumbhole size and shape makes it hard to open one handed

The ability to interchange blades is an interesting concept even if the steel is an economy grade steel. I am looking forward to buying blade sets.

Seems ok but my old pocket knife is sharper

the handle is pretty nice and the blade is solid. the system as a whole is really cool, lots of functionality with different blades, the multitool blade in particular is my favorite.There are some issues getting the blade unfolded, the handle doesn't offer as much grip as you need, maybe Roxon should use thumbscrews or something instead.I also had the pocket clip bend and break off very easily which is disappointing.overall the idea of interchangeable blades is really cool but leaves some things wanting. looking forward to its improvement.

gave it as a gift to a uncle and he loves it, can switch to safety blade for which then back to whichever blade style he likes for the weekend
