Updated review: After using this air-purifier fan for a week, rather than a regular fan, I have gone from coughing regularly throughout the day, to not coughing at all. I think having a fan blow dust into your airways all night is really bad for you. I can't stress how much of a lifesaver this item was. I strongly urge you to buy it if you are using a regular fan as bedside fan. Original review: A number of people are unable to fall asleep on their own at night — we are "Highly Sensitive People" or we are described as having "Sensory Processing Sensitivity", which means our treshold for arousal is much lower, and what "threshold for arousal" means is that it takes a lot less for a noise to be bothersome. When falling asleep, it is helpful to have white noise because it creates a hum that prevents low-threshold sounds from being as bothersome. This white noise can be provided by a machine or audio device, but it is even better as a real fan, because the auditory stimulation is amplified by the tactile stimulation: The wind blowing on your face provides a uniform stimulus that gently hypnotizes our central nervous system. That's why for some of us, a night fan is an absolute necessity. This use of a fan that I am describing is very specific — and very different than just an air circulator. The problem with using a fan that way is that usually, over time especially if you vacuum infrequently, the fan will blow dust, hair, dandruff, pollen into your face all night, and you wake up especially congested. You would want an air purifier, but most air purifier don't have directional control of their output, they just blow air wherever not in a way that you can orient or really fine-tune. That's why having an air purifier that behaves like a fan is so wonderful. What makes it specifically perfect as a bedside fan is: 1. The bulk and solid material blocks out the light, so if your face is sticking out just enough to feel the air, you may still be protected from ambient light. 2. On speed 1, the air stream is nice and feels comfortable in your face all night. The amount of sound is enough to drown out auditory disturbances. 3. The control buttons are big, spaced, and easy to drowsily activate. 4. The minimal amount of illumination on the display (here you can see the "1" barely emits any light) can even be turned off if you want full darkness. 5. The fan tilts with a -15 degrees downward so if you put it next to you, you can point it downward. (I sleep on a futon so this is very convenient.) I really feel this device is absolutely perfect for this use case, so much so I feel it was designed specifically for it. I had been using a decent fan for a while, but I was hoping to find a way to protect myself from inhaling dust all night. This is really perfect, extremely good value for me. Frankly delighted that Coway went outside of the box in terms of design. (Before this Coway, and before the fan, I was using another nice bedside air purifier, the Holmes HAP242-NUC, which is nice, but not as nice as this item because it is not a True HEPA filter.) I will note that my colleague had recommended another Coway air purifier AP-1512HH for the office, which I had gotten before this. It is an excellent air purifier for the office, and it predisposed me to give this a try, and I am very happy I did. (My only slight feature request is that I would love if there were 5 speeds, because the speed between 1 and 2, 1.5, would be perfect for noisier or warmer nights.) If you are in a similar situation, this is a very solid choice!

Great fan. There's 3 settings to this fans speed. The 3rd is pretty loud. Works great for my needs at setting 2. The rotation is great. Comes with a fan! I appreciate that it's putting out clean filtered air. I live in an old apartment building and having this helps with the air quality for my allergies and asthma.

Definitely buy this if you’re looking for a way to clean your air and keep yourself cool. I also have an air quality monitor since I purchased two of these fans (one for the bedroom and one for the living room/kitchen area) because I have a neighbor that likes to smoke cigarettes on her patio. The air quality in my apartment (900 sq ft) is great and it automatically adjusts if it detects the quality of air going down, it oscillates, and is super quiet on the lowest setting which is perfect for me as I leave them on 24/7.

Pros: I love that it's an air purifier, but I can also point it on me at night and get air flow to keep cool. It was really hard for me to find this combo. All the air purifiers seem to point at the ceiling these days. It can be pointed in one spot only, or it can oscillate. The fan noise is good for blocking out other noises at night, but if you don't want to hear it you can put it on low. My main reasons for buying this is for a steady noise at night (to help block other noises that might wake me) and getting air flow to stay cool. But having an air purifier is also important. Cons: I've read that the filter should last 12 months. But for me, the air filter light came on a little over 3 months. That is a huge difference, and I don't live in a highly polluted place, so I'm not sure why it needs replaced so soon. I've had other air purifiers and this was not the case. We'll see how it goes when I put a new one in, and see how long it lasts. If it's always 3 months, it could be expensive to keep this one operating. Also, mine never had the real-time aqi air quality symbol on the display panel. I only just now noticed that it's supposed to, after looking at the ad again. :( Update: After having this for only a few months, it started making a clicking noise when in oscillation mode. When it reaches the end of one direction it sounds like it clicks / bumps into something before switching to the other direction. This starting keeping me up at night until I got used to it. I only hear it on the low setting. Maybe something shifted inside?

Love this air purifier! Its beautiful and matches with my home decor! Works well and has a remote with many different options. The only thing I dislike are the expensive replacement filters, I bought a few before I found one that fit. We just did a bathroom renovation with plaster walls so this was important to me, works well. Its expensive but I really like how it looks and its good quality. Definitely recommend!

I needed a purifier and a fan for my upstairs which always feels stuffy. We don’t have central air so this was just right. We have kept it on since we bought it (maybe 6+ months if I remember correctly) and no issues. We are a house w cats and every person that comes over “compliments” that they can’t smell them. The filter is extremely easy to clean; handheld vacuum and voila! It is tucked next to my bookshelf and does not take up a lot of space but definitely makes a difference.

Are we all reviewing the same air purifier? The air pull is so weak that it literally can't hold a post it, even at the highest setting. The fan is so weak, even at the highest setting, that you can't feel the air more than 12 or so inches away. And yet it is so *unbelievably* loud. I love my other Coway products and am incredibly disappointed in the expense and inefficiency of this one. Will be returning.

I like the size in the directional flow of the fan, but the problem is there’s not enough flow and if you turn it to two or three, you definitely can’t use this in a bedroom in the house. She’d be awake all night. It’s just too loud.

Es bueno, al inicio me asuste porque no aventaba aire, hasta que vi que tenía que quitarle el empaque al filtro que viene adentro, ya había leido una reseña donde la persona se quejaba de que no aventaba nada de aire pero supongo que fue porque no le quitó el plastico como yo, no viene nada en el manual ni en la caja que diga que se lo tienes que quitar, pensé que ya venía listo para usarse. En cuestión del ventilador hace mucho ruido en el 2 y 3, el 1 es silencioso pero no avienta mucho aire. Lo estoy dejando en Auto por ahora y siempre está en el 1. Pero si quiero que de verdad me refresque le tengo que subir al 2, el ruido del 3 es un poco insoportable para mi. No lo he tenido el suficiente tiempo para saber que tan bien purifica el aire pero ya pasado el tiempo actualizo mi reseña. Actualizacion Enero 2026: Ya pude probar la purificación del aire y funciona bastante bien, lo he dejado en Auto siempre y en cuanto me pongo a cocinar algo que humea, se enciende en velocidad alta hasta que desaparece el humo y el olor de la comida. Para eso es muy bueno, sigo cuestionandome si es buen ventilador.

I purchased the Airmega Aim 2-in-1 fan and air purifier to replace a regular fan, mainly to stay cool at night while also helping reduce dust. My priorities were acceptable white noise, effective air filtration, and something that would be easy to clean. I’ve been using it nightly for about a month, mostly on fan speed 2, and it’s been a great fit for my needs. From roughly 6 feet away, I measured the noise at about 35 dB on speed 1, 45 dB on speed 2, and 55 dB on speed 3. Speed 2 provides a good balance of airflow and steady white noise without being distracting for sleep. The unit includes one HEPA filter, and while I haven’t needed to replace it yet, it’s rated to last up to 8 months. I also appreciate the night mode, which turns off the LED lights, and the last-setting memory, so it powers back on at the same fan speed. The oscillation and tilt features are useful for directing airflow where it’s needed. Coway has been a reliable brand for me, I’ve used their air purifiers for a couple of years now, and this model feels consistent with that experience in terms of build quality and performance. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for a single device that can cool and purify effectively, especially for nighttime use.

Too new to tell, but so far feels like room is cleaner. Fan is plenty powerful not sure what one of the reviewers was talking about saying it's weak. Perhaps they had it on the lowest speed. Def keeps me cool even with windows closed in my small home office space. Love that it oscillates automatically.

It works, is not too loud, good features but seems rather flimsy....more like a 50 dollar item than the three times that I paid
