This is a solid alternative to spending 2-3x more on the OEM crossbars when you are still getting the same weight-rating and a sturdy product! Every piece was made well so everything fits snugly making this an easy install. It fit my 2020 Rav4 XLE premium perfectly.One thing of note is that the directions read more like a part list. While this does pop together quickly and intuitively, if you want more guidance, there are step-by-step videos of assembly and installation of the OEM crossbars on Youtube so you can follow along. As with all “some assembly required” projects, you will be happier using your own hex and socket wrench if you have them but the one included gets the job done too.Overall, these are sturdy and are doing the job as expected. The bonus bungee cords are pretty nice too and are useful if you need to secure items in the trunk of the vehicle (I prefer using tie-down straps for the roof rack).

Pros: Very sturdy and well made. Easy to install (once you figure it out) Great price. Definitely recommend. Installed in less than an hour.Cons: The “locks” are ridiculous.And here are the directions, since there aren’t any. Pay attention to the front right, back right embossed into the parts.1. Attach the bars to the brackets with two short screws in each side. My RAV4 2020 took no adjustment. The bars went ALL the way onto the brackets.2. Take out the little covers off on the Toyota “roof”. Super easy, just pop out with a screwdriver3. Lay the rubber Protective gaskets down facing the correct direction onto the roof. Pointy things up.4. Insert the bars, with brackets attached, into the slot on the “roof” of the car. Might need two people. But, I did it alone.5. Insert one long screw into the “roof” and secure.6. Snap on the plastic covers.7. Don’t ask me about those “locks”. They made no sense. One came apart when I tried to turn it.

Perfect fit for my 2019 RAV XLE. Installation was easy and took about 30 minutes. The complaints about no instructions are unfounded. Just look at the parts list they send and they show how it goes together. Pretty simple because all the parts are labeled (front right, rear right, front left, rear left) and they only go together one way. As with most assemblies, do not tighten bolts up until you get it all together, then tighten them. It is very sturdy and seems well made. Hopefully it will hold up to the weather, but I see no reason why it should not. As good as OEM for a third of the price.One thing to note: The instructions show 8 washers for the 8 bolts that connect the crossbars to the mounts. In my setup, these washers were not there, but the 8 bolts had very large bases -- essentially a built-in washer, so apparently they now come with this instead of washers.

The Tuntrol Roof Cross Bars for 2019+ Rav4 are sturdy, with great fit and finish. So far, so good -- Tho I haven't used it yet. The installation is mostly intuitive. . .a good thing because there are no instructions. Be aware that the two cross bars are different lengths. I didn't notice any markings for front and back, tho the parts list labels which is which (in microscopic font). The longer bar goes in front. Watching the Youtube Toyota OEM install video mentioned in these reviews, I notice the torque on the big bolts fastening the feet to the roof is 12 Nm (which I convert to 8.85 ftlb). I figure the torque should be the same with these bolts. I couldn't get the locks for the plastic covers to go in so I gave up on them and bought some stainless screws, washers and locknuts in sizes appropriate for the covers (#10 or #12) to use instead. I have more faith in nuts and bolts than those crappy plastic locks. I've no idea what the four rubber-ish plugs I got are for -- They don't seem to plug the lock holes in the plastic covers. The parts list mentions 10 washers. I didn't get any washers. However, the Toyota OEM bars have fancy washers for the bolts fixing the feet to the roof.

Using it on '19 Rav 4 Adventure and it has worked great for a roof basket on my cross country move.I am just curious what the static load vs dynamic load rating is? Can it support a roof tent?

Material of product is good, but there are manufacturing issue. The right hand side rear crossbar did not fit into the metal bracket, rendering the whole unit useless.I bought it new, but when it arrived it was obvious that it wasn’t new. There was a “amazon return” sticker left on the taped up box, and wrappings inside are a mess.I wish it worked, I would’ve overlooked the “not new” aspect if it worked but it did not.. shameI’m now a little frustrated with my time wasted, and have decided to avoid this manufacturer all together.

I got these for my insurance replacement RAV and I don't see any downside to the original toyota racks on had on my first car. They are crazy cheap compared to the 300 dollars toyota wanted to install their version, stronger, and maybe a bit quieter on the highway. The instructions weren't great as others have said, but I figured it out just fine. Some of the plastics pieces don't fit over the bases as perfectly as I'd like, but it is plenty good and you won't ever notice it if not looking for it.
