These are really nice quality, heavy pot holders. They work well for roasting pans, heavier saucepans, etc. which is what I wanted them for. And, yes, they are thick enough to be used as a trivet. If you’re looking for something more flexible, lighter weight, and more “grippy”, these aren’t your guys. (For those, Ikea often has cute ones.)

I'm sure these will work for lots of cooks, but just not for me. The reason is that they are too thick for my hands. I have been trying to replace some thinner pot holders I have had forever, but all I'm finding are the real thick ones like these. I'm sure it is because they don't want to take a chance on anyone getting burned, but a thinner pot holder with maybe an internal heat-proof lining would be better.

In reality, I find that I can’t grab the cookware as securely when my hand is in it. It’s become more of a decorative touch for me. It might work fine for others depending on your hand size. I also find the material to be very still, which actually makes it more difficult to hold pots with them. I imagine that will improve with use after washing these. As long as these loosen up with use, I will be very happy with them.

Stiff and bulky.

OK, don't get too excited these are pot holders. They're put together well and have some nice features such as a sleeve that allows you to use them as a mitt - or to help prevent them from slipping around. I also like the colors and the little loop which allows them to be hung if desired (which helps keep them clean). I certainly can recommend them. Guess my excitement is now over.......
