Useful in situations when you want to embed a hidden magnet to keep something (small-ish) open or closed. I used it to help a shoe box lid in the open position, without making a visible contraption.Not super strong, due to its small size. For securing a larger door (for example a kitchen cabinet door)you will likely need a bigger magnet.

These magnets are nice and quite strong for their size. The length measures on my calipers at exactly 0.350", as advertised, but the diameter is just a little short at 0.167" (3 thou short). I had a hard time deciding if that was worth a star, and ultimately decided that these are incredibly uniform (within 0.0005") that they are worth 5 stars. Good magnets, just know the diameter is around 3 thou short of advertised.
