Great Flavor
Great mala flavor and nice noodles. I didn't find them spicy, but it takes a lot for me to find much of anything spicy. My partner with a lower heat tolerance loves them too, probably even more than me! It hits the same sort of flavor profile as hot pot so it's perfect when you're craving some, but don't want to do the whole spread. It is a bit like a lot of hot pot soup bases in that it's salty and has a high oil/fat content so be aware of that being the case with this sort of product and most of this style of hot pot bases (especially tallow ones, but this is vegetable oil based). I don't think it would be terrible if you did half a base or watered it down, but I find one pack is enough for four or more servings for us. It'd be an excellent side too.One last note- the noodles are on the softer side so watch them closely if you're not into soft noodles. They're great either way, but I'm an undercooked noodle lover and less cooking was the way to go for me.

Best noodles ever!!!
My friend brought me these from a good show.I'm in love! These are the best noodles I've ever had! My family loves noodles. We do a noodle night every week. The noodles in this pack are my favorite. This package is enough for 4. We add meat, veggies & egg. The sauce is great, maybe on the spicy side. But a jar of her mushroom sauce too. Omg. So good.

Authentic flavor that hits the spot!
Ever since we left Chongqing a few years ago we have been on the hunt for an authentic bowl of Chongqing noodle but with no success. Thank God one of our friend told us about this Hotpot Queen Spicy Hotpot Thick Cut Noodles on Amazon. First slurp this instant goodness already brought us back home to the land of spiciness. Rich flavor of the sauce plus the firm texture of the noodle is just how they do it back home! Definitely will be getting more of this yummy stuff!

OMG These Are Good!!
I can see how some people might think they’re too spicy but I thought they were amazing! Spicy but also really tasty. I was dipping bread in the soup after finishing the noodles just to get every last bit of goodness!

Delicious, But Not Quite Healthy
These hot pot noodles definitely were delicious, but very spicy. It's not quite as hot as buldak ramen but close. Adding other ingredients, like veggies or a protein, does help to tame the heat a little bit. These noodles had me in tears! That being said, I did finish the whole bowl of noodles, if not the soup itself. It did have a nice numbing effect, and do watch out for your lips. I loved the little crunchy chickpeas in the dry seasoning mix. That was a pleasant surprise. The flavor was full of umami and the noodles were nice and tender, yet not soft. The noodles aren't so much thick as they are wide. They were, as another reviewer had noted, about the thickness of a fettucini noodle, but wider. As delicious as the noodles were, there are two reasons why I will be buying this product sparingly: I find the price to be a bit too high for me, and the salt content in this is shocking. At over 2,300mg of sodium, this bowl is your whole day's worth of salt and then some. I can't often justify the nutritional value of the hot pot noodles, especially if I know ahead of time I usually add other ingredients to dishes like this (adding even more calories and sodium and etc...).I really recommend trying at least once if you love spicy or adventurous foods, but be aware of the nutritional content.

Tasty, spicy, but high in sodium
These instant noodles from Hotpot Queen are a miss for me. They need to have the ingredients listed for those of us who need to watch their sodium intake. It's A LOT of sodium. over 2,300 mg's of it! I love tingling, spicy, robust flavors and that is here in abundance. I made this dish, took a few bites to taste and then passed the rest to a friend to finish (one with no dietary restrictions) They liked the flavor, but were not a fan of the oilier texture. This is most likely because we are not familiar with this noodle dish and the kind of oily texture associated with it. For newbies like us, it's a pass. Those of you familiar with this dish, will most likely have a different take-away.

Worth crying over, but check the sodium content
This Spicy Hotpot soup made me cry in a good way. The Sichuan spices left my eyes watering and loosened up my sinuses. My lips were a little tingly after eating it too. All worth it, because the depth of flavor of the broth is amazing. The thick cut noodles are really great too and have a nice taste and texture. The little chick peas were a nice surprise, although they didn't all soften up evenly. I can't believe this only took 5 minutes to prepare (not including a little extra time to boil the water), because it tastes like it was made from scratch. One packet makes a large bowl of soup. I am a big eater and didn't add anything to this, and it was a filling dinner for me. Next time, I might consider adding some extra water and vegetables and serving a salad on the side to stretch this to two servings and make it a little less spicy, but I don't know if I want to mess with perfection.I will probably try it because I would like ito lower the sodium content per serving. It's very high at 2,390mg per serving. But, if you aren't watching your sodium and like spicy food, I highly recommend this. Probably just occasionally because it really is a lot of sodium.
