I'm going to admit, Have NO idea how these worked. Watched a video and was in swe so I purchased a large bag of about 130000 beads.I've never messed with them these did NOT come with instructions. I did not not know how many and how much water. I used a large bowl, poured in a handful, let sit for 2 to 4 hours and the bowl filled up to the rim.Also had no idea how much to put in vase, rule of thumb from video I watched elsewhere was about 3 fingers space from top. Did that, poured water in and it looked amazing. Left the vase alone for a while and went back to check. Beads reformed at the top about a couple inches and and were spilling out everywhere. I had no idea they would turn back into water beads after adding water. So if you put too many beads in the vase they will apparently reform. I may have also not given enough time to finish forming in the original bowl I used as there may have been too many to start. But overall, these are an awesome find at a GREAT price since you can reuse them and they will last for a very long time. Awesome projects can be done with these and I am still learning but having so much fun with them. The possibilities are endless!

The media could not be loaded. I have never used these, so want sure what to expect or how much they would make. We made 2 packages. The bowls in this picture each holds 32 cups! The pot holds more than double that! That means each package makes more than 64 cups of beads!! 2nd picture was about 10 minutes later and you can are they are growing out of the water. Just covered them with lots of cold water and as they absorbed, added more water and put in additional containers! Last picture shows how tiny they start (smaller than course salt) and where they are after 4½ hours (pea size). Worth it!

I used this for flowers it was easy and beautiful to set up if you make to much you can save in zip lock back for later use

Perfect for what we needed. Expanded quickly and didn’t disintegrate. Still have tons left for the next project also.

They are great. Although they are for plants they are fun to play with. Only hydrate a small amount at a time they do swell a lot!
