Quick rinse with made up sea water, no clouding when added.

My live sand came damaged and was seeping out which soaked into the cardboard box that it was packaged in obviously the plastic bag that contained the wet sand had been damaged. I have since found out that the cardboard is poisonous containing printers ink as it is recycled cardboard! God knows how this will affect my lagoon tank.

DO NOT BUY!! I added this to an established marine fish tank yesterday and it has killed off most of my fish, I have lost hundreds of pounds worth of fish within 24 hours and they’re still dying now. I don’t understand how they can sell a product that is clearly harmful to fish? It’s now a race against time to save our remaining fish. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I will be contacting Caribsea for a refund. I am furious!

Just what I ordered

Pretty good, but three out of five orders came bone dry and I believe the sand needs to be wet in order to have ”live” bacteria in needs to be wet. I think that it can’t hurt if you receive it properly and wet, but I wouldn’t rely on it cycling your tank alone.

High quality wasn’t dusty even without wash didn’t leave the tank quality and sped up the cycle

Fantastic product! Looks great and very clean! I also really like the grain size.

The live sand is great, no need to rinse prior to adding the aquarium. Minimum dust and debris compared to dry sand. Currently using for a nano reef tank and seems to be working very well
