Works well in my Zippo J16
These flints work well in my J16 zippo. I had been using some zippo brand flints that were slightly shorter than the original flint. These are a bit longer, more like the original flint, and give me an effortless light on the first try. These should also last a little bit longer than the zippo replacements. The value is also much better as the zippo dispenser comes with only 6 flints. For the price of 24 zippo flints you can get 500 of these. These flints also come in a nice glass vile that I keep with my wicks and fluid. Lastly I got a surprise addition of some wicks with my flints, so over all I'm super pleased with my purchase!

What more do you need?
These things will probably last me a lifetime. It comes with sooo many. I didn’t realize that I probably won’t need this many but oh well. It’s a good size for the price. I got a good deal on it. The quality is also great! They feel nice and strong. I know that they will last in each lighter for a while before replacing.

not bad..
These are definitely NOT zippo brand quality, but you get what you pay for. These little flints come in a little jar as pictured (about 2 inches tall). I did not take the time to actually count each one individually to see if there actually were 500.... LOL they do strike well, and do their function well in zippo or zippo style lighters, however do not last as long as brand name - but that is to be expected for a bulk product. Other than lifespan, these are worth buying to keep extras on hand in case of need!

Fits into my zippo perfectly.
I ordered two of these, but somehow one of the bottles was mislabeled. I got one bottle of mixed color flints, and one that was gold only. So, considering that someone was not paying attention, I decided to count the flints. The gold colored flits had five hundred and one flints, while the mix colored flints had four hundred and ninety three flints. Now that means that between the two, I should have had one thousand flints, but was shorted six flints. Not a real big deal, but be warned that there are consistency issues. The flints work great, giving excellent spark spread, making lighting up easy. The fit in the zippo and two other lighters is precise, sliding in with little room to spare, exactly like they should. The slightly longer than average length gives a slightly longer time before needing to replace the flint. The color of the multi colored flints are less vibrant than the pictures, but still colorful, while the gold looks exactly like the pictures. Even with missing a few flints, these bottles of flints are well worth getting for the low cost of seven dollars for five hundred flints.

They work
I've used these in zippo and clipper lighters and they work. They don't throw as many sparks as official zippo flints, but you'll never run out.

Enough Flints to Last A Long While
Hubby bought these as replacement flints for our clipper lighters and believe me, these will probably last the rest of our lives! The bottle is cute and yes, 500 pieces will fit in there!

Not for a Zippo
The flints are not good for Zippo lighters. Takes multiple strikes to get it to light. I completely disassembled my lighter 3 times, cleaned it out, replaced the cotton, the wick, the flint, and refilled. All three times I could not get the Zippo to light on the first few strikes. I took the flint out of a Bic lighter and put it in the Zippo and it fired up on the first strike. One of the best qualities of owning a Zippo is its ability to light on the first strike. What's the point of having 500 flints if they don't do what they are supposed to do?
