I read tons of reviews for these things before I bought them. So many folks said they were terrible and flimsy and not worth it. I took the leap anyway and they were right. I didn’t even soak them in anything and I still couldn’t get them in my ear holes. I was frustrated and about to give up but I really wanted to know what it felt like because I had built it up in my head. I did something that probably isn’t advisable, but I figured out that I could dip just a bit of one end into some unscented candle wax, let that dry for a second and then it went right through. I tried one dry and one soaked in some water and it was pretty awesome. The sensation was great and worth the questionable upgrade. Take all this as you will. I’m not suggesting you do what I did. I’m a bit of a goblin and needed to satisfy my curiosity for weird/gross things.

They get the job done and are pretty sturdy too.

If I could give this product a -10 I would don't waste your time or money, they are so flimsy they won't go through your ear piercing holes. Horrible product.
