I would give 1 star for the crunch. I have been eating gluten free for 13/14 years now and the taste of this product, in my opinion, is disgusting. I tried to get myself to keep eating these crackers, but I ended up dumping the crackers out in the trash. BUT the Simple Mills Farmhouse Cheddar crackers, gluten free, SOOOOOO good!

I’ve been trying to find healthier snack alternatives for my family, like options to replace chips, cookies, candy, and other typical store-bought snacks. I’ve found some healthier versions that actually taste pretty good, even though they’re different because of better ingredients. With these, I wasn’t sure what to expect and thought they might be similar to Cheez-Its or Goldfish. When I tried them, the first thing I noticed was a very strong garlic flavor. I enjoy garlic on foods like garlic bread, but for a snack like this, it was more garlicky than cheesy, which I didn’t love. I do appreciate that the ingredients are organic and veggie-based, so I expected the flavor to be different. Another issue for me was the texture, they’re not just crunchy, but very hard, even harder than a thin chip. Because of that, you really have to be careful when chewing, as they feel sharp and could irritate your gums.

These are so good! I am a long time Cheez-It lover. I tried these as a non-bioengineered option. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor, which may have garlic or onion or something similar added. I'm not exactly sure the flavor, but it's an enhancement and I love it! I'll be buying these again.

Good flavor, especially for a gluten free snack but unfortunately they crumble pretty much as soon as you touch them. When you do manage to get a solid piece, it has a nice texture and crunch as it's hollow inside but mostly you're going to find yourself eating crumbs. We don't believe shipping had anything to do with that, it's just very thin. We purchase these on recommendation from a Celiac group as the "closest substitute for Goldfish" but I wouldn't compare them at all other than it's a cheese flavor. Again, they're good, just not Goldfish. Also, it's a small bag for the price plus the crumbs so it just feels like a rip-off. If they held up better so we felt comfortable buying them in small individual to-go packs, they'd be a great snack but that wasn't the case.
