Very good stocking filler for grandchildren

Great fun. The accompanying booklet gives lots of ideas.However as the paint takes a while to dry and is not removable , I would suggest this is not appropriate for you infants. My artistic grand daughter was 8 and was fine.

The end result was really good. However, because you have to make up a base for the marbelling, it has to be left for several hours before you can use it so it's not an activity you can take out of the box and use immediately.

A great way to entice children away from their devices! Enjoyable hours spent creating designs. My grandchildren love marbling.

OTHER THAN THE LOOONNNGG WAITING FIRST PART .... THE ACTUAL PAINT PART WAS GREAT FUN. PLUS, THE BEST PART WAS PULLING THE CANVAS OUT OF THE TRAY AND SEEING RESULTS ! WE DID IT WITH A 5 YR OLD, WHO WAS VERY ENTHRALLED WITH THE RESULTS. THE PHOTOS DON'T DO THE RESULTS JUSTICE ... THEY WERE BRIGHTER THAN IT LOOKS HERE.

Fun activity for kids. Easy to do.

I purchased this for my granddaughter. She is a crafter like me. She had a lot of fun experimenting with the kit. She gave the paper she painted to her cousin so she could use them as a background for some of her artwork.that was another plus, the paper is nice and thick.

I discovered paper marbling this year, and i's a hugely addictive craft! I've tried quite a few kits like this one, and I'd say this is one of my favorites. Although it doesn't come with as many paint colors as some, the colors it does have are very vivid and marble just beautifully, without mixing into one muddled color. The tray is deep enough to work well, and a good shape. The fact that there's a little canvas and even an easel included really add value. And even the art paper included is higher quality and works better when wet than a lot of cheap paper included with kit like this. I'd recommend using that first to get the hang of it all, and then making your masterpiece on the canvas, but marbling is so forgiving you can make something cool almost every time! I do want to caution that this won't be ready instantly when you open the box. Water for marbling needs to be thickened first, or the paint will just sink. So you need to mix water with carrageenan and let it sit for a while. I like to give it a full day to thicken, but you can give it a little as two hours if you or your child get impatient!
