This is our personal experience-Sleep apnea gone because of the angle of sleep-- find what works for you. My husband suffered with breathing issues -- that really troubled both of us. This angle of sleeping worked with pillow before very well- but with this health assistance it is really good. It may be a bit heavy for some when changing bedding. I use a stepping stool to gently lower to the floor and the same to place back on the bed. Using your knees to lift works as well. Most young and strong individuals do not need that information.

My 71-year-old mother is completely bedridden. Sometimes, she'd roll over and couldn't get herself up and would need my help. Plus, she was getting ready to have fistula surgery to get her ready for dialysis. I decided to purchase this for her birthday, a few weeks before the surgery. I was a bit worried because of some of the reviews -- would it be comfortable enough, etc.?I can confidently say that this is an amazing purchase. The foam is thick enough to provide support on top of the bed, but not so thick that it feels weird. The pillow that comes with it is surprisingly supportive, and gives a nice base on which to put other pillows. And, finally (and maybe most importantly for us), the cover is completely washable.She had her surgery yesterday and needs to keep her arm elevated at all times. This contraption makes that possible, while also keeping her upright and off her arm.This is a great alternative to purchasing a crazy expensive hospital bed and I highly recommend it to anyone out there who might be on the fence.

The device may be portable but nearly impossible for air travel or public transport as it has no container or transport bag and will not fit into even a large suitcase. It is also quite heavy/bulky for a person to carry.
