The Farmacy Lip Smoothie is such a luxurious, hydrating addition to my nighttime routine. The formula, while sticky, is thick and hydrating, and the scent is a lovely sweet honey with hints of vanilla that lingers after application. When my lips are feeling extra chapped, the Lip Smoothie is a quick-fix to make them more plump and hydrated overnight. I do find that a little goes a long way, and it works best when used as-needed, not on an everyday basis.

I’m quite picky about my makeup and skincare products. This stuff makes your lips incredibly soft and does everything it says it will do. Give it a few days to do its work with a few applications each day before you make up your mind. That’s my recommendation. Two things about this besides the softness really make it worth it for me. For one, the ingredients really, truly are clean. Lots of companies say they are, but if you actually look up the ingredients, they’re just greenwashing. This product truly is clean, so I feel comfortable always having it on my lips each day. Secondly, yes it actually does make your lips a bit fuller. I mean it’s not gunna do anything crazy like make you look like you got a bunch of filler, but there is a definite, noticeable fullness after you let it do its work. It smoothes the lines and makes the lips slightly fuller. My favorite part is I can apply it to the skin just slightly around my lips (you know the part that’s slightly lip-colored but not quite and flatter than the lips? Not sure how to explain that haha) and then that will make my lips look quite full and I can slightly overline when I put on lipstick and it won’t look unnatural. The fact that this product actually plumps with completely safe ingredients is crazy to me.

As I’m getting older I’m starting to think about using better quality products for my skin care/face and hair. I bought this hoping it will help keep my lips looking youthful and moisturized. Sadly it seemed to do the opposite. My lips became more dry and could see some wrinkles. I’m not sure if it’s just an adjustment period but I’ve been using it for over a month and no difference so far. On the positive side the balm feels nice on my lips (like an oil) and smells so good… like green apple candy. Unfortunately I can’t justify paying a high price for just that. My vaseline works better for moisturizing. I will continue to use the product and maybe add a different product before bed and see if that helps. I’ll update my review if things improve.
