Recently saw that my Lenovo Legion Y540-17IRH laptop's battery life had dropped quite a bit, so located this as a replacement. Didn't realize that a couple of cells in my original pack were bad, swelled up significantly, until I started the replacement process; glad I did so, despite not running it straight from battery very often. This arrived at right around 60% charge, which is optimal for storing and shipping LiPo's. The Lenovo Vantage app allows you to enable Conservation Mode, which will keep the pack at this same level during AC operation, to extend battery life. I may try this. Pack fit perfectly, like OEM. Seems to be charging up just fine, so I'm hopeful that I'll get at least a few years of solid performance from this new pack. (Some users who had the same model of laptop reported getting packs [from other vendors] that didn't have the correct wire length, but this one (Tinkerpal L17M3PG1) is correct for the above laptop model.)

cable with connector too short to reach motherboard. looks like it's the same with all the aftermarket L17M3PG* batteries as this is the 4th one from different amazon suppliers.

This battery was a perfect fit and installed easily.

Purchase this battery as replacement for my Lenovo legion y530. Battery is right replacement for my laptop but the power wire is slightly too long, which resulted in part of wire line being bent to fit in. This does not help my doubt of this product lasting long. So far it works, laptop power on and is charging. Beside the power wire length issue, this generic battery is great option.

I bought the first one thinking it was just a defect. Returned and ordered another and as you can see in the photos the harness comes up short.

Cable slightly too short for Y540 install. Capacity nowhere near claim of 52.5Wh (vantage measured 37.9 Wh max capacity at 100% charge)
