Terrific value for a low price mic stand
For the price, this is really good value. It's obviously not fair to compare it against a high-quality professional stand that's designed to withstand the rigours and abuses of regular gigging but, for less than a tenner, this is a super little unit which could easily be fitted into the bottom of a gig bag to be used as an emergency backup.Be gentle when tightening up the screws. The threads won't last long if you over-tighten them but they ought to last a while if you're sensible about this. Also bear in mind that the stand is so light that it will topple over easily if the boom is fully extended to hold an SM-58 (or, in my case, an EV-767). Make sure one of the tripod legs is aligned to run parallel to the boom or place a counterweight on the legs for stability. As I say, this is not the stand you'd want as a first choice for regular gigging but it's a serviceable, compact and lightweight backup which might save the gig one day.One more feature that I'd like to draw attention to is the fact that it can hold TWO microphones; one on the boom arm and one on top of the stand itself. This seems to be ideal for a singer who plays acoustic guitar, banjo, etc. This is an excellent design feature which ought to become a standard for stands at higher levels of the market too.Two different microphone holders are also included which means, in effect, the stand itself is almost free.Great value for money and a recommended purchase. I reckon I'll be picking up a few more of these for home studio use in the near future.(Edit to note that it's now retailing at £11·95 so it's just over a tenner rather than under, as I originally stated. However, I still recommend it as good value for a low budget stand.)

Cheap nice light compact stand. Value for money. Boom holder could have been designed better.
Can recommend. Very light and compact, reasonably strong. Just need to be aware: plastic threads and nuts at the ends of pipes - seem strong enough, but usually they are of metal. The hub for the legs is also plastic not reinforced by metal. Hope it is strong enough. The holder-joint for the boom is a bit wobbly on the main pipe, even if well tightened - it is a design issue: the diameter of the hole is a bit big and tightening does not press the stand pipe into a defined position. Actually easy to fix with sort of shim inserted between the existing plastic insert and the body of the holder. With that in mind - cheap nice light compact stand, only reaching about 2 m high with the boom fully up.

Not great .
Being a singer , I wanted a good sturdy stand . This however is not what I had hoped for . It does the job I want it to do , but it is small and I have to sit down to record vocals . Can easily topple over with a microphone added . I have to way it down with heavy weight .

Excellent service; excellent product.
I ordered the boom stand, to supplement the "straight" stand I already have, choosing carefully, after looking over several similar products. I particularly needed one with a clip that would hold a large diameter microphone. The delivery projection implied a wait of around 10 days, so I was delighted when it arrived within four days of placing the order. The stand doesn't disappoint: it is well build, sturdy and comes with two alternative microphone holders that, between them, should accommodate almost any microphone. The stand is very adjustable and can be used for vocals while sitting down, or to hold a guitar/other instrument pick-up microphone for someone performing while standing. I can fully recommend this unit.

Cheap and won't last long
It wasn't good, the cheap plastic base fell apart through minimal use. Whole thing is too janky really.

Good product with excellent backup from the supplier.
Took a lot of time researching budget microphone stands to use while recording my guitar playing and vocals. I decided on this make as the reviews where good and the price reasonable. After I took delivery I found it well made, sturdy and easily adjustable to my needs. There was however slight damage to the plastic boom end cap, nothing serious as it did not affect its function, more cosmetic. I emailed the company, who replied promptly and replaced the entire article within days at no cost. Excellent customer relations. I would recommend then wholeheartedly.
