I was reorganizing my sewing supplies and realized I could use a nice needle case, instead of either storing them in a empty pill bottle or haphazardly sticking them into a pin cushion (where sometimes they would end up being pushed down completely and lost). I wanted either a wooden or metal case, and I wanted it to be pretty. I looked at several--some with needles and some without. The prices seem to be comparable whether or not the case had needles or not--so why not get some extra embroidery needles as I recently have taken up various needlecraft again. I chose a wooden case with a carved design which depicted a bird flying over what looked like bamboo along with some Chinese writing. However I thought I was buying the case with the self-threading needles--ones that have a little opening at the eye so that thread or yarn can be easily slipped in. Nope. This is not what I received, but when I went back to check the order, I saw that it was my mistake. The needles included with the case (which is still the design I wanted) do have big eyes (as does most needles of this type meant for embroidery, crewel, or needlepoint). I decided to keep the case anyway since it was what I wanted in the first place, and the one I received was very well made with actual carving (probably laser) and a very smooth polished service. The top is easy to screw on and off, but at the same time, seems to be securely on so that if you wanted to throw this in a purse or bag to take with you, you shouldn't have an issue with the top just popping off and spilling needles everywhere. The case also had enough room in it, even with the needles it came with, to put in a few of my own embroidery needles. And it still has room for more! I prefer to keep the finer sewing needles separate , so I plan to look for another case for them as well. I don't know really how "durable" this set is, but the case material is solid and the needles seem strong and thick and hopefully made of stainless steel as advertised. (They do contain iron in some form because a magnet will easily pick them up). Until I find out otherwise, I am very pleased with this purchase even though it was kind of a mistake.

Behältnis wunderhübsch mit Lasertattoo (nicht von Hand geschnitzt, das ist geschwindelt), innen nicht sauber gefräst, bzw. nicht versäubert. Schraubverschluss sehr gut gefertigt, passgenau und möglicherweise as Messing (wird sich bei Abnutzung zeigen).Nadeln sind leider ziemlich dick und nicht so dünn, wie die Abbildungen glauben machen. Ich brauche gerade dünnere Nadeln mit langem Öhr.Mist. Ziehe deshalb einen Stern ab.

I ordered this product for my elderly uncle. He likes to sew things. I sell things from time to time myself. I wanted to just order a few needles to replace the ones that I broke because I’m not good at sewing at all. I tend to break needles, I’m sure this isn’t even a thing for anyone else. This clearly displays my lack of knowledge when it comes to sewing. Anyways, I thought this was a nice little sewing needle kit, at least from the pictures. So far so good. He hasn’t had any problems with them at all. They come with a neat little sturdy case. It seems to be built well, built to last time. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in either their sewing journey, or professional seamstress alike. I just have one question for you: Sew what?

V. easy to thread, and good, strong utility needles. They might be too thick for fine sewing but were perfect for my needs -- sewing heavier linen. The needle case was quite finely made and a nice wooden object to hold in your hand or slip into a travel sewing kit. I would happily buy again or give as a gift to a crafty friend.

A lovely and durable wooden case with sharp, large-eye needles I can easily thread for sashiko. A beautiful piece I hope to have for years to come - I only wish it came with a translation for the engraved inscription!
