I was impressed that the belt was a heavy-duty canvas and the buckle worked well but it was difficult to tighten it easily. It would work very well for its intended use-- to help to stabilize a patient. Thus I gave it five stars. I, however, needed the belt to firmly secure an old, large plastic container that held a large set of sockets. This was the original container and probably 15+ years old. The plastic latches no longer worked and I needed a solution to keep the lid latched to the body. The belt did not slide easily to allow me to tighten it up to secure this container.

The buckle makes this gait belt so easy to use. It is very sturdy. I can unbuckle it easily while the patient is sitting or lying done, and buckle it back up when needed. I like gait belts with handles, but for comfort and ease of use, this is the best.

My husband had 3 massive strokes 3 months in a row so he’s been in and out of the ICU until he’s medically able then this is his 2 Inpatient Acute Rehab and start Physical Therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy etc. I bought the gait belt for him to walk with his cane and it’s connected around his waist but mostly importantly I walk on his left side then hold onto the belt so he’s safe and secure and don’t risk having any falls. We love it. Highly recommend.

I really like this gait belt because it doesn't have a metal buckle that you have to thread. It has a sturdy plastic fastener that you click and snap it closed. It's easy to adjust to waist size as well. Great product!

Adequate product. Good for the price. The belt loop ripped after 2 weeks of use but still works fine. Extending the belt length even when not in use is more difficult than other belts I've used.

Gait belt was perfect. Good quality & keeps me safe

This is the second gait belt I have ordered from Personal Safety Corporation. I really like the quick release, when you use one as much as I do this is really a time saver. While the first one I bought didn't last a year, I don't believe it was the fault of the manufacture, my husband took a fall while I was holding the belt and the buckle broke from his weight. I bought another one just like it so that should show I trust them.

I used it to assist my mother with walking. No matter where I tried to secure it. She was able to unloose it and take it off.
