Cin Cin!
I enjoyed reading all the history from producers in the different regions of Italy. There’s a nice selection of classic cocktails and new approaches to these wonderful italian amari, aperitivos, and even grappa. Apparently this is a series of books that cover other drinking cultures and regions, will be picking those up as well!

This book is beautiful and the recipes are delicious. I bought this for my Italy obsessed sister and we both love it. The pictures are beautiful and I love the history that comes with each drink. This and a bottle of Aperol makes the most perfect gift for any cocktail or Italy lover.

A Visually Beautiful Book With Easy To Follow Recipes But Requires Multiple Pricey Libations
Italy Cocktails: An Elegant Collection Of Over 100 Recipes Inspired By Italia is a visually beautiful book. The 416 page book is very well researched while providing gorgeous photos throughout and accompanying each drink recipe. The book is divided into the following chapters:Introduction: A History of Italian CocktailsHow To Drink Like An ItalianHow To Stock The Perfect Italian Bar CartThe Italian Cocktail Classics: Negronis, Americanos, & SpritzesAperitivo: The Art of Pre-Dinner (and More) Drinking in ItalyItalian Liqueurs Spirits, Vermouth, Bitters, and MoreClassic Italian Hotel BarsDigestivo: The Art of Post-Dinner Drinking in ItalyContemporary Italian Cocktails: The New Wave of Italian Cocktails in Italy and AbroadAcknowledgementsAbout the Author/ Photo CreditsIndexThe instructions are clear and easy to follow and the drinks sound delicious. The first thing that I noticed is that there is minimal crossover of the specialized liquors included in the majority of the drinks. Yes, there are recipes including familiar libations like Campari, Curacao, Prosecco, Gin, and Brandy. However, the drinks will then include a specialty alcohol that isn't found in most home bars. The second thing that I noticed was that the price of said alcohols average at $30 per bottle with each drink usually requiring 2-3 liquors or specialty alcohols. One drink that I really wanted to try is the Vecchio Stile (Old Fashioned) STP. It includes chocolate bitters, bergamot bitters, bourbon, and Rum Arrange. By the time I purchase all the liquors, it will cost $113 just to make this one drink recipe. As a result, I was limited in the recipes I was able to try as the majority went above my current budget. I'm sure I could attempt to use alternative liquors but I would prefer to follow the recipes as written. I was able to try the Milanese Caipirinha and found it very refreshing and tasty. I'm not sure if these liquors and libations are cheaper in Italy but in the US, it would require me to order it from multiple online stores at varying prices as they aren't all available at the local liquor stores in town. Overall, author Paul Feinstein crafted a beautiful book with drinks that I definitely want to try. It will just take longer for me to get through as many recipes than earlier anticipated due to the higher costs of the liquor.

So much amaro!
Gave it as a gift a day ago to my bitter-loving partner and we have loved it so far. Nice write-ups of specific brands and bars. The one recipe we made so far was new to us and absolutely fantastic, and I was happily surprised to see my favorite cocktail from my favorite Knoxville bar in here. Can't wait to try my hand at that one tonight.

Brilliant Collection; Beautiful Presentation; Engaging Photos; Tantalizing Recipes of Experts.
Authored by an expert mixologist, Paul Feinstein once again brings us [mainly] back to the boot of Europe, aggregating over (100) recipes from all around some of the most impressive Italian hot-spots [and a few from the United States] from those whose craft is to serve us some of the most innovative Italian inspired cocktails imaginable. I was amazed over the brilliant collection offered; allowing me the opportunity to create and taste.I was excited to select this title, when I saw the innovative, cute, and unique die-cut cover of a cocktail glass; the topic and title only triggered greater curiosity and desire to select the work, if not just to admire the beautifully photographed creations and such. I was thrilled when I received this, as it is even more impressive in-hand. I was not disappointed with the quality of the book, not its content. The recipes are laid out perfectly and I appreciate the tails told. It's a creative work of authentic recipes, with a significant variety offered. However, I do not have some of the ingredients, and some are simply not available locally. So, that’s a tad of an issue in replication. But it’s nice to dream that I am transported to where the drinks originate from, to learn about the cultural insights; acquire the tidbits offered, and to just look through the beautiful pages. The authors greatest strength is displayed here, aggregating and editing. Everything is clear, simple and/or to the point, it sounds out the possibilities of mixology. As I admire the photos and words on each page, I am inspired. I want to share the passion that is being laid out before me.ConsiderationsI cannot think of much, other than mentioned above, surrounding procuring ingredients. Those new but inspired to try, may find paging through to find the recipe they can do a bit frustrating, however, there are recipes that can be made. Nevertheless, as mentioned, the photos are inspiring and engaging. How was this receivedNot independently packaged nor sealed, rather, loose.Describe the bookThis hardcover book has no dust jacket, but has that unique die cut cover, which is very thick. This looks expensive and professional. The book has an “above” average number of pages, many with many long sentences to just simple recipes. All-in all, there are a whopping (416) pages, it’s almost like a mini encyclopedia. The book is undersized, and measures near (5¾”) wide, (7½”) tall, and just “under” (1¼”) thick, of which the front and back boards take up about 1/8th of an inch/0.125” in thickness each. It’s a very colorful book, with wonderfully medium thick, semi-glossy, near slick, pages, a very thick, stiff, cardboard/paperboard type of hard covering, and a simple, classic non-cloth spine. The text is on the below average size side, against a multitude of colors; the text can be clear, but sometimes is so small, it may challenge readers who have imperfect vision. So, the size of the type, for me, is on the small side, but the look of the fonts is perfect. I think this a very high-quality book.Weight? One (1) pound and just over (10) ounces. Why was this published? It’s about the author documenting innovative cocktail recipes, inspired in Italia. From cover to cover, this brilliant, fun, immersive, and colorful book brings simple ideas forward that can make a difference in learning mixology.
