Saved me Thousands on extra sleep studies

This unit it absolutely amazing. It did everything I was hoping it would do. It gives me detailed reports the next morning and the real time alarms, that woke me up, when I was havinglow O2 and heart rates in real time. The x3 different alarm methods are outstanding. To keep my wife happy, I turned off the audible alarms on the wrist unit itself and within the app on my phone. Instead I'm using the built-in vibration alarm on the finger O2 sensor itself, which is pure genius!I do swap between different fingers each night as the instructions warn about long term wearing of the led 02 sensor on the finger.I was having low O2 levels, below 85% several night, and that was while wearing my cpap. I found the best thing to got me back to being around 95% each night was to walk at least 1 to 2 miles a day. That little bit of walking fixed my low O2 problem that happened 3 out of 4 nights beforehand. When the alarm would wake me up I remember taking several deep breaths to get me back up quickly. When I was woke by the alarm from adeep sleep the, my first reaction was to thing something was wrong with the unit, as I was obviously still breathing. However once I was fully awake the next morning, I review the extremely detailed report and could easily see where the low 02 or heart rates were taking place. These two different events can be set independently for monitoring and alarms.I have a Galaxy 4 watch and it also keeps track of the 02 and heartrate, but has no alarms or methods to wake me up, when my O2 was low. All it does is keep track. The Galaxy 4 watch confirmed every low 02 event that this amazing device recorded as well.I would definitely recommend this device.

Instant blood oxygen level readings.

I love this product. I have idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and need to keep close eye on my blood oxygen level. Using the devices that go on the end of a finger was so frustrating. I have fingers that are cold and so readings were hard to get. I love that it fits at the base of the thumb. I just touch a button and get a reading. It might be a point lower than the other unit sometimes, but I love ALWAYS knowing where it’s at. It does take some practice to put on, but no big deal. I was worried about the wire getting in the way, especially when playing pickle ball, but I got some fingerless gloves, problem solved.

BiPAP User

I have severe sleep apnea and use a BiPAP with high pressure settings because of frequent blood oxygen desaturations. My doctor advised that I monitor SpO2 levels during sleep and keep an ongoing record of the results. I previously used the Wellue O2 ring for this purpose. The advantage of this particular ring is that it syncs to the SleepHQ application I use to monitor my BiPAP statistics. Unfortunately, I have gone through two of these expensive rings because of durability issues. The first failed when the rubber ring band broke and the second simply died. Both problems occurred shortly after the one year warranty expired.I purchased the Wrist Oximeter primarily because the ring fingerpiece can be replaced for a reasonable price without having to buy and entire new unit.I find this wrist oximeter to be easy to use, comfortable to wear, and the display is very clear and legible. I download the results on both the iPhone software (which occurs automatically as soon as the device is removed) and on the pc software (which occurs when I plug the device into my computer for charging).I appreciate the vibrating alarm which wakes me when my SpO2 drops to a preset level so I can make adjustments to my CPAP mask. The vibrating alarm also does not disturb my wife. While the software does not have the ability to sync the results to the SleepHQ program, it does sync to OSCAR, a similar program. Thus, I am still able to monitor my BiPAP therapy and the effects of apnea events on my SpO2.I do have some negative issues. First, I find it difficult to attach the watch band on my wrist because of arthritic fingers. Second, the software only records events on a daily basis. It would be helpful if it would include weekly, monthly, yearly, and custom periods of results so that trends could be monitored and provided to physicians. Third, I worry about durability issues like I had with the Wellue ring and concerns that this device will also fail shortly after the one year warranty expires.

Unreliable

This oximeter has never worked for more than two weeks. The finger sensor was replaced several times..worked two weeks. The whole unit was replaced and still only worked several weeks. Do not waste your money. The seller replaced parts of it but were unwilling to refund what was paid for it.
