I use these to make my plant tissue culture media and to help clean my explants and they work well, maybe better than the one that came with my stirrer... They're just a little bit longer. Helpful to have extra so I don't have to pull them out and clean them between steps.

Was on the fence about adding these and the stirring base, glad I did tho. They hold up to pressure cooker and break up mycellium in lc without contaminating. I like keeping everything sealed and sterile. More than enough in pack also for the price you can't beat it

I have a confession to make. I did not know these were intended for lab mixing. My husband purchased me a battery operated self-stirring coffee cup and I lost the tiny stirring magnet 2 weeks later, which was annoying because it’s my most favorite coffee cup. Luckily with an Amazon search I found this listing for self stirring magnets. They have a really smooth Teflon coating and even though they are bigger than what I need them for, they still work as intended. These are very good quality magnets, my nerdy husband couldn’t stop playing with them.

I purchased these to go with a new stirrer and some extra glassware. I use them in prepping sauces and broths when cooking. These work just fine and with several extra I've got plenty to not have to stop and wash anything while completing a full meal.

These came in a nice felt bag and seem like their materials are high quality and feel they will last me a long time.
