Smart TV
I'll start this review by saying I know nothing about technology. So my review won't cover all the technical details, but simply what I like and what I don't.After reviewing and comparing what seemed like 100s of TVs, and not understanding half the features and gumph in the details, I decided to stick with what the brand I know and a new released TV in the hopes it will last a few years. My previous Samsung was doing okay still, but it no longer supported ITV Hub/X and something had happened to the subtitles, which I heavily rely on, and I could no longer see.So, how have I found it? Picture great - the picture is sharper than my old TV. Sound is good, sometimes needs changing between channels but I'm sure this can be sorted in settings. All the apps work as they should, and all the usual and most used apps are there. The remote is a little on the small side for my fat fingers, but manageable. I'm still figuring out the solar remote. As I said, I know little about technology, but I've seen a few people mention having to re-connect to the wifi. If my previous TV hadn't been a Samsung I would have presumed the same. What you need to know, is that the wifi takes about a minute or two to work. On my old TV it would come up that the Hub was updating. On this TV, a message comes up saying Error and directs you to reconnect the wifi. This is not needed. If you wait, the wifi will connect and you won't get the Error message. Even if you get the Error message, just be patient and it will connect. For me, this is a great TV, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

A good value TV with an excellent picture & some really good features
As the owner of a modern OLED TV for everyday viewing I wanted another large-screen TV for a room where lighting conditions are not too bright & where there's little to no chance of sunlight on the screen BUT I didn't want to spend OLED-type money on another TV.Having looked at the specs this budget-end Samsung appeared to fit the bill: it has all the connections and smart features that I need (plus a few more besides) but without the added expense of "Quantum Dots" or zoned local dimming etc etc etc.Everyday use is normally streaming services or sometimes files from a large disk drive, and watched in a range of formats from 4k HDR10 or similar to 720p avi. As a household we stopped watching "through-the-aerial" broadcast TV long ago.Unboxing and setup was a breeze and literally took just a few minutes after this was wall mounted.A quick note here: these are a very thin TV so they sit close to the wall if, like me, you prefer to use a fairly standard hook-on-a-rail" type wall mount rather than the supplied stand (legs). Not a problem except that this can make insertion of the power plug and the rear-facing HDMI and LAN ports very awkward once hung, so my advice would be to connect those to the TV before you mount it on the wall.In use I find the Samsung to have a very good picture. In some cases (like displaying upscaled standard 1080 or lower content) the picture is actually better to my eyes at least than on my OLED. There is a little backlight unevenness (on a pure black screen it can be a liitle bright in one corner for example) but in normal use this really isn't noticable and it doesn't seem to affect the picture. There's no motion judder, blurring, pixellation or other unwanted picture problems that I've seen either (unlike the OLED I use too). The sound isn't great from the built in speakers, but since I always use either sound bars or other amplification that isn't a problem for me and HDMI ARC works perfectly to turn on the sound bar automatically. The solar powered remote control is an excellent little thing & contains everything I need for daily use, with the larger standard remote control now destined to life in a drawer. We don't use voice activation though, so I can't say how effective that is on this TV.The streaming services we use connect without problem and navigating the TV's menus has been straightforward enough too.For our needs this Samsung is proving to be a really good TV with a good picture and all the features we need.

Nice tv, volume varies between programmes and adverts...bit irritating!
My 50" samsung tv gave up the ghost after 5 years and I needed a new one. I only wanted a 43" as the 50" was too big for the space in my new house anyway. Ordered one from amazon that never turned up. Ordered this one for next day delivery...it arrived the next day...that was a bonus for a start, took the tv out of box, it's nice and light. Put the brackets from my 50" tvs stand, fitted perfectly. Put the supplied batteries in the remote, fired it up, set it up with my phone to the same settings as my previous tv. Had to sign back in to itv, channel 4,5, Disney, netflix, prime etc but did it all quickly by scanning the qr code on tv. It was all very quick and simple. Good enough picture for watching my favourite movies etc. Knocked a star off for the sound quality. I always had my old tvs set mainly at 10 volume but having to turn the volume up to 20 or more to get the same volume but then the adverts are too loud so a lot of up and downing of the volume...bit annoying!

Really pleased with my new TV
Really pleased with my new TV, it's got lots of great features and was very easy to setup to use Netflix, YouTube, Prime etc. It even has its own Samsung TV with lots of channels, although moving around them is not so simple.Excellent value for money!!

Would be zero if possible. Serious Issues with Brightness
would be zero if possible. I did a lot of research before buying and the TV itself is has good resolution when watching up to 4K and also has good sound. It looks smart and is easy to operate, with a really good interface. The issue is brightness. Its really dark picture even when on the brightest possible settings.I called Samsung support and was told essentially that as this is an "entry level" tv this is the best it can do. If that's the case, then Samsung are knowingly selling TV's unfit for use, and even at the lower product range, that's unacceptable. It is for a small playroom so I never wanted to spend a fortune, but £400 is no small amount and this is (on certain shows) barely watchable, like watching TV with sunglasses on. There are better options for less money with better picture, and this is barely usable.Very disappointed and will never again buy a Samsung TV.
