yes did what i thought it would do. I re situated my sink in to drain and looking to the Capicorn Backflow - non return Valve some times if there is a smell i fill the sink with cold water pull the plug and this clears anything that is leaving the flap open.

Great item all as described speedy delivery cheap price for such a well made item would use supplier again.

well made but beware to allow access
does work and is well made but the instructions say it needs to accessed regularly to check it is working OK and you would normally fit this to the underground pipe so will need to have quite a large manhole that is big and shallow enough to allow access all around the unit!
