I've had this for over 2 years and it is AMAZING! I have thin hair, so I don't go over 350°. Now I'm buying a second for my friends birthday! :)

I needed a new flat iron for my Ethnic hair, so I began combing through pages and pages of them on Amazon. (I’m black, by the way, and for those who go by hair texture, I have a combo of 3C and 4A hair that Loooooves to Loc if you LOOK at it the wrong way!) There were some decent choices, many of which I had seen before, but I wasn’t looking to spend over $50 (though I know you get what you pay for). I came across this one and looked at the price- more than $50. Hmmm.... I did, however, LOVE the look of the product. So I decided to head straight to the most important section of the page: the Photo reviews. I was actually shocked to see so many different hair types and textures represented! And the fact that their hair ALL looked amazing made the product look almost too good to be true! I mulled over the price again and decided to bite the bullet. I told my husband I was going to be spending a little more than expected because I HAD to try this product and see if it worked as well as everyone said. From the time I opened the Amazon box and saw the product box itself , I was blown away! The presentation of the product- from the box to the included accessories (hair clips, rat tail comb, heat glove)- was remarkable! The small, but significant details (locking clip, swivel cord, Velcro closure) made this product a huge step above the rest. But as they say, the proof is in the pudding.... Trying this hair straightener for the first time made my jaw drop! I literally jumped up and down, then called my husband to come see the beautiful straightening job/curls it had made! I thought I had owned quality straighteners BEFORE, but apparently not! This straightener is the first I’ve ever owned that allowed me to straighten my hair using UNDER 400 degree heat- and still look amazing!! Sleek Design- Doesn’t Pull Hair- Ability to use Less Heat- For what more could I ask?!? You NEED to purchase this straightener! Your will Hair thank you! (You’re welcome) *I also wanted to commend the company’s customer service as well. They are just as excellent as the product itself. (I twisted my hair on top of your head every night before bed and took it down in the morning) Amazing!! Truly Amazing!!

Updated review: The seller contacted me and resolved my issue by giving a full refund. Though i didn't have good luck with this product this time, I will still purchase from them in the future because I know they will make it right if the product doesn't work properly. Original review: (1star) After receiving this hair straightener it worked as great as expected. But after 5 uses one of the plates stopped heating. I unfortunately didn't use it often enough so I've already passed the " return date". So I would just really like to get an exchange for one that isn't malfunctioning. I'm just very disappointed as I have purchased this same item in the past and it lasted me years before it started acting up ( my old one doesn't like to stay off unless unplugged) I am very happy with this hair straightener otherwise, IF IT DOESN'T MALFUNCTION. If the seller decides to do the right thing and offer me an exchange, I would happily change my review to 5 stars or more if i could. It just sucks spending hard earned money on something that doesn't work like you know it's supposed to.

I've owned a Conair, Chi, and I-Tech straighter before, but this one is FABULOUS! A lot of research was done before I made the decision to purchase this one, and I feel like it paid off; my previous straightener was 4 years old, so it was about time. I received this new one today before I got home for my lunch break, so I had to go ahead and bust it in ;) There really is no tugging at all on your hair - so smooth, and I was shocked that it truly heats up in 15 seconds, as advertised! It also does something magical to my hair, like it adds more shine like no flat iron has done before. Mind you, my hair is very difficult to deal with. I am a Caucasian, but my hair has always been coarse, wavy, dry and thick! This iron worked beautifully on my hair. 10/10 would recommend! If it doesn't work the same after a few months, I'll be sure to update my review. As of today, I'm very happy! :) UPDATE - Wow, over a year later and I am still loving it! Makes straightening a breeze, and this is some of the best money I've spent. Still happy with this purchase! Don't bother wasting $200 on a Babyliss (or whatever it's called); this gets the job done with no issues!

I actually loved this tool so much that I bought the same exact one when I lost the original. The first lasted like 4 years and was still going strong when I lost it. I’m super bad at curling hair with an iron and a wand, but i can use this no problem with amazing results!

I’ve purchased two of these in the last year and both have stopped working within a few months. Both times, the iron quits heating on one side. This one I’ve only had for 5 months and there’s no link to the manufacturer or warranty info that I can find. I do not wrap the cords up tight or even put it away. I have not used it with any international outlets. It just lives sitting on my counter. I would give this product 5 stars if it wouldn’t short out constantly.
