Feels like an escape room experience but on paper.
Super fun and entertaining. Kept our brains busy for a couple of hours! Love the clues and all the paperwork, it all seems very legit. The one we completed was 4/5 and I’d say that was pretty fair but also not too bad as an entry level if you really concentrate and enjoy things like escape rooms, because you have to use the same sort of problem solving. Only problem is that the phone section was fine to use and simple to navigate but it got confusing when you kept having to switch between media’s, would’ve preferred it to be all paperwork but it’s a cool concept.

Amazing quality, great for solo play, hours of fun!
Absolutely incredible - there is just enough information that you can piece the clues together but not so much that each step is obvious. The effort that has been put into this is phenomenal, everything looks legitimate and the tiny details like making the paper jagged, so it looks like it's been ripped from a notebook is just another aspect that feeds the imagination.Unfortunately, it can only be played once but it is worth the price for the hours of fun. Also, the ability to be able to do it solo is fantastic for me as the majority of people I know don't enjoy this kind of thing - that just means more puzzles for me though!

Incredible case file
This was our second case file. The storyline was insanely interesting. loads of clues all throughout the evidence provided. I have to say the story is quite dark and twisted. There were few inconsistencies and the difficulty rating I would choose would be 3/5 instead of 4. Overall, it was an incredible case file and I would 120% recommend buying this product.

A super immersive historic edition to the cryptic killer games!
I know I've probably said this about every one of Cryptic Killers mystery games, but this is the fourth one we've bought now, and this one is definitely our favorite! We've enjoyed all the games so far, but there was something even more immersive about this historic 1920s era game. I wish I had the ability to forget it so I could play this one again from the start! I had so much fun cracking the codes. We've really enjoyed all the editions we've bought (magic casino, murder of millionaire, and murder of a musician) but this was definitely our favorite storyline so far. I really hope they might release some more historic themed unsolved mysteries again! As usual all of the pieces of evidence were of great quality and design. Although it's a higher difficulty rating then some of our previous ones, we still got through without needing any hints and found the killer! We've got our eyes set on our fifth purchase and can't wait to order it soon. Keep up the great work.

Highly entertaining
Really enjoyed the professional format, information given in different ways kept it doable. One of our group suggested the option of someone reading the information electronically- as some members might enjoy the sound of their own voices too much.

Murder at Merivale Manor. Great game!!,
Great fun, you have to read everything very carefully a notebook is helpful to take notes. Also some space to be able to spread all of the relevant information out to be able to find it easily. Some of the information is cryptically hidden but it is called cryptic killers eh? Also some information is very well hidden in plain sight. I or should I say we (my wife got involved too & thoroughly enjoyed it) played Murder at Merivale Manor and it took us about five hours spread over two days to solve. There were hints available but we didn’t want to use them before we thought we knew who had done it. We solved it correctly and didn’t need the hints but looking at them afterwards they would probably cut the time it took in half, but in my way of thinking would have reduced the fun & the satisfaction of working it out.It is like I said quite cryptic in places and a lot of looking and searching for clues online, & in the information sent in the pack, so age wise as long as there is an adult there to assist I would think teenagers probably later in their teens could do OK with this specially if they’re into the detective & CSA programs on the TVI would definitely recommend this updated and harder version of Cluedo. I will definitely be getting another case to solve!Good luck all of you budding Sherlocks!Pete (or should I say Lead detective, DCI, Guv, or even boss. None of which my wife will agree to call me apart from Pete) 😂

Amazing attention to detail
So much fun and great value for money. The evidence was so cleverly made and the threads of each suspect interesting to follow. Took 4 of us 3 and a half hours to fully complete (our mission was to find everything about every suspect and we were successful!). There is a lot of reading to get through to find the information so if you're not a fan of that, this probably isn't the case for you.
