Shore Power for your RV
Receptacle is of good quality and should work fine for supplying "shore power" to your RV. Since it will be used outdoors, I mounted mine in a weather proof box and cover from Lowe's, their stock numbers 49867 and 50943, respectively. I had to modify the cover to accept the round face of the Leviton 30A. receptacle, as it was designed for a regular 15A. wall receptacle.

I like this one because it is heavy duty and the connections are easier and more secure. I own a campground and buy the boxes at Home Depot. The plugs that come in them have screws that the wire has to be wrapped around. When these cheapos burn out I replace them with these plugs. Just remove the cheapo plug and throw it as far as you can. Then, using the same box, replace it with one of these. The wire is inserted and the screw is screwed down on it making a much better connection.

wrong item my bad. decided to convert rv to 50 amp service instead. 30 amps is not enough for anything. the ones that come with a plastic box are not much more.

Great outlet for plugging in your RV.
I installed this in a weathertight box near where I park my RV. I ran #10 wire from the box and used a 30 amp breaker. Wire size depends upon length of run. Now I can plug in my RV without an adapter and get 30 amps of 120 volts. If you aren't confident of your electrical skills, hire a pro!

good
Good sturdy outlet, cheap mounting screws.Included screws would be fine in a metal box but aren't up to the job in a PVC box unless you're careful.

Five Stars
NIce plug for the money and it fits the larger gauge wires like it should.
