Fell out of bed, had a gash behind my left cheek bone. Discovered the benefits of crazy glue for skin at the ER, avoided stitches, and healed nicely. My step dtr’s an urgent care doctor- suggested scar gel. First used CVS’ scar gel kit that works well. ScarAway (SA) had good reviews on Amazon so giving it a try. SA’s silicone gel in a tube is thick and lets you massage it in 1-2 minutes for a protective layer during the day. SA’s silicone bandage can be cut to size, is textured, though it peels off at night while sleeping. CVS silicone bandages are clear, can also be sized, and stay on through the night. Drawback is CVS’ gel comes in a roller to apply a thin coating, though seems to last during the day. Overall- studies show medical grade silicone in these two products is better vs onion based products for making scars less noticeable.

I am post op over 5 years, tried many different products- this one has been the most successful at reducing and minimizing scars. It will take a little longer but will continue to use it and until completely gone or as clear as possible

it was actually for the wife, she had thyroid surgery and the incision was across her lower front neck 😞 we heard about this and I bought for her and it worked very very well. 👍 I recommend it highly.

The scar tape/sticker works great. I do not recommend the gel… it does not dry and is very sticky. I tried to use on a concealed area and after letting dry for almost 30 min, still got onto my clothing. It also does not wash off easily… I showered using a loofah and soap and then used an alcohol wipe when I was dry and it is still tacky on my skin.
