Realistically how many fish would ok her for someone looking to get into reefs?

I have 3 small fish in mine. Wouldn't want to go above that even with modified filtration

I'm thinking if using this as a freshwater tank, will the light cause algae growth, and will the light be OK for freshwater plants?

this light is good enough to grow some waltwater corals and will certainly be ok for freshwater plants... just use the white light not the blue!

Would a 25w heater be okay for this tank?

I'd reccomend a 50w heater for the 57LTR tank
