Firms things up. Presuming leakiness is better, because the colon processing's near perfect now. Forty-years of misdiagnosis solved with a pill. A non-patented pill. Not a permanent fix, but what an improvement.

After reading many of the reviews, I thought a better one was needed. I think most people will not need this product in which case it generally should do next to nothing. If you feel worse because of it, maybe you already have plenty or a high amount of butyrate in your gut. Butyrate is created by certain gut bacteria which if you have normal amounts of, and have a reasonably decent diet (check which foods are linked), then you are not likely to have any significant benefit with a supplement. However, most people should be here only because they're trying to solve a serious existing problem. If the problem is related to out-of-balance gut bacteria, then it's possible you may have too little, or a high amount of butyrate in your gut. If you have too little, then this product may be for you as there seems to be several things that may not function correctly with low butyrate. In which case, added butyrate should be a very good thing. The amount of butyrate you need to take will vary. For me, taking this for three weeks may have provided at least a minor benefit but it's too early to know. There's a condition that frequently results in either too much or too little butyrate in the gut, so too little seems to apply to me. I'm used to everything I try only making things worse. My five star rating really isn't, at least yet - I would need to establish that I need it before I could give even a preliminary rating.

I have digestive issue and I can't live without Butyin. I used to us a powder based capsule or tablet. But I was thrilled to find this liquid cap. I really hope they continue to make this product. I was having to take one cap/tablet three times a day. But with this liquid cap, I can take one cap once a day, and get the same benefit. I will say, it does have a little bitter taste, but it's not so much that it will stop you from taking it. I take mine with food.

This product was so late in coming, almost a week late, that I had to order separately to make sure I didn’t run out. It was supposed to come in 4 days, but took 9 days. The bottle of one came much more quickly.

No issues with the product. It's a source of butryate which is supposed to help heal the colon. Don't know how much it helped. Just taking a break from it at the moment while I try other things.

One star due to my unusual personal experience with this product. Nothing bad about Tributyrin or this particular brand, it was just not compatible with my immune system/gut biome. After a few months of taking it, my skin started getting very dry leading to itching and dermatitis. My hands peeled, cracked and bled continuously. I was basically disabled and highly focused on solving the issue. I tried every moisturizer and steroid cream ever made and the longest it ever lasted was a few minutes. I was seen by a dermatologist, did patch testing, but nothing explained why this was happening and nothing worked. I take a couple meds and a lot of supplements, have done so for years with no issues. I didn't make the connection to this supplement until I talked to a friend who had a similar reaction to Zyrtec. That got me thinking further back in time when I started taking Tributyrin months before this started. It occurred to me Tributyrin could've slowly altered my gut biome and affected my immune system. So I stopped it and my skin cleared up in a couple days. My hands completely healed in a week after stopping this supplement. It was like a miracle. So if you happen to start getting skin issues or some other immune system issue after taking this supplement for a few weeks (or months in my case), remember this review. This experience confirms the importance of our gut biome on our systemic health, and how we all have our own balance to achieve.
