I ordered an XL and that was still too small. The waist was fine - I'm a 34 in most things - but the "pocket" was too small and the leg holes were also small. The leg holes did not have any give and dug into my legs and were uncomfortable. Needed to return. Wanted that color so I will likely try the XXL but I'm worried the waist will be enormous and will looked all bunched with a tightened drawstring.
