Doesn't stay cold long enough
I was a little leary of this at first. I thought the band around the head might actually make my headaches worse. It hasn't. It actually works great! I just wish it stayed cold longer. Even after being stored in the freezer, it loses its chill rather quickly. Probably within 15-20 minutes.

Invaluable support for those that suffer.
I have to have more than one. I keep one in my room and another in my car, just in case I get a headache when I'm in the car. It has happened and I wish I had had one of these caps with me. They work so well. Even if they aren't fresh out of the fridge, the gel is cool and provides a bit of much needed pressure on my head and around my eyes. I also use a migraine cap when I am anxious or frustrated. Not quite sensory deprivation, but relief from outside pressures, because it covers your eyes and ears, plus that coolness. I don't heat mine up, because I don't like my head to be hot. I tried it once, and that gel does get hot, I only managed to keep it on my head for less than a minute. But, I imagine some people may prefer warmth. I had to get this extra migraine cap because I had loaned one of mine to a friend and she took her time in getting it back to me. So, I told her to keep that one as an early birthday present and I ordered this one. I'm thinking of getting another one now, just in case another friend or relative needs some relief.

Giftable! Effectively reduces migraine or tension headache.
What I like best with this migraine cap is its blackout feature. Unlike an eyemask which only covers the eye region, this cap tends to compress your whole head which essentially gives you a black out feeling. It muffles the noise from outside and protects you from brightness of light. Noise and light sensitivity are the typical symptoms of migraine in comparison with ordinary headaches. This cap can be used hot or cold. You can microwave it or put it in a freezer. The coldness of the cap can last a maximum of 20 minutes. It is reusable and washable. It is always best to handwash it to give it a longer life. The pricepoint is reasonable. It can be given as gift too. Recommending it!

Ok
Wish it stayed cold longer. After like 10-15 minutes its warm. I do like how not super intense at first but wish it didn't get so warm so fast. Not terrible for $7

A bit inconvenient but works
I always have a migraine a week before my period, and the pain is (most of the time) unbearable that I need to take pain killer. I'm excited to try this one out so I can finally break free from the pain killer.I didn't really follow the instruction because I can't handle cold really well. I put it in the freezer for 15mins, tried it and too cold for me. Left it for around 1-2mins in room temperature, and it felt so good and comfortable! The mask is soft and squishy, the strap is adjustable. I like to tighten the strap just because I think the pressure also helps with the pain. I can actually relax and the pain slowly subsides. I'd say they're not gone, but it numbs the pain so the pain is bearable. The coldness stays for about 10-15 mins and I have to redo all the steps again. And that what makes it a bit inconvenient. I can't wear it when it's too cold and it doesn't feel as nice if it's not cold. Also, wearing it on my forehead without covering my eyes didn't work for me. So the best time to wear this is during bedtime.PS: I didn't try the heat, because it says the heat might shorten the gel's shelf life.

Good for cold therapy
My eyes tend to get tired easily. I ordered this relief gel ice pack for cold and hot therapy for my eyes. This gel ice pack is made with gel material and soft fabric. I feel comfortable wearing it for therapy treatments.I have tried cold and hot therapies and I found cold therapy has better results on the gel ice pack. I placed the gel ice pack in the freezer for two hours and then placed the gel ice pack over my eyes. The cooling sensation relaxed my eyes and I felt refreshed after the cold therapy. While the hot therapy is hard to use. The product instructions stated to microwave the gel ice pack for 10 seconds for hot therapy. Actually I microwaved the gel ice pack for 30 seconds and it was not hot. When I placed the gel ice pack over my eyes for hot therapy it cools down very quickly. After heating in the microwave a few times I have noticed the plastic buckle on the adjustable stretch band start to melt and deform. I do not recommend using this gel ice pack for hot therapy.Overall, it is good for cold therapy.

Nice
I like this, it doesn't take my headaches away but it does help with them. But the nice thing too is it not only headaches I use this for!! It makes for a real nice cooling on my muscles!! The only thing I really don't care for is it don't seem to stay cold for as long as I like it too. I've put in freezer for quite some time but once it comes out it warms quicker than I would like. It don't put to much pressure on my head either which I love!! It definitely keeps any kind of light out and with a migraine that is a must!!!! I honestly think this will work great if I can catch my migraine when it first starts but it does work even in the middle of one!!
