This was easy to put together, the wheel lever was a tad hard to push down and lock but I did it and my son had no problem. I filled with water and was able to easily place where needed before locking it. The stand when locked is very secure with the wind. It didn't budge in a storm. It is made from a hard plastic and very light when empty. This will be easy to store come winter when emptied. We plan on getting another one for our pool patio. Initially I planned to use with my patio table but the legs on my table are not square but curved therefore the base would not fit under it. I didn't think about that when ordering so I have it free standing which works perfect on our deck and I can move it around when necessary. Would recommend buying and the price is fair.

Great, mine held 100 to 110lbs sand and about 2 gallons of water. Hold the umbrella perfectly

Received exactly as described. Heavy duty and the wheels make it a breeze to maneuver when fully weighted. Note: 2 of the 4 wheels (directly under base) do not lock which can allow the base to still move. Recommend placing wheels in groove or wedging base. For me, that is minor and would definitely buy another.

This was the third umbrella stand I purchased on Amazon. Buying this type of product online is challenging and my first two umbrella stands were of sub-par quality.This base hold lots of play sand which adds the required weight (greatest weight mass). I added two (2) 50 lb bags of play sand. I believe you can also add just water but don't expect the same weight mass as sand provides. It comes mostly built. It has double secure screws on its pole and two of the four wheels have brakes to secure that stand from rolling.The center umbrella pole needs to be attached to the base (before you add sand) and is accomplished with a single larger bolt from the bottom.Adding the sand takes a long time and the sand accumulates in just one area so you'll have to tilt it often as you fill it to move the sand around. This stand can handle a hurricane almost (not really) and we have constant wind on the hill where we live at about 20MPH . This base isn't about to move or tilt. Wide and stable.Make sure that you have a 3-tier breathable umbrella as well so that the wind doesn't catch the umbrella as a sail.Another positive feature is the ability and ease of moving the umbrella stand around on the stands included wheels.An excellent choice from Amazon.

Easy to install. It's light in moving the umbrella.

Wheels are too short causing bottom metal plate to drag when trying to move. Plate then rusts and you have rusts stains on the deck. Expected much higher quality given the price. 20 days outside my return window so wasted my money. Pass on this item.
