Covers well, looks fantastic
Brought to paint the bottom part of our house up to window sill level, along a natural tile break within the wall and covering old white masonry paint. Cleaned up the walls with a wire brush as prep. Used a 3”inch brush to apply the paint. In the tin, paint has a gloss sheen. Paint appears thick but applies with ease. Brush loads and applies well. First coat covered impressively well. Paint dried with an hour to 2 hours and was ready to re-coat as per tins instruction. When dry, it was a deep, luxurious matt black. Second coat sealed the deal and it looked fantastic. For completeness, as the walls are exposed, I applied a third coat. Finished effect is fantastic. Good sized tin of paint, applied well (following appropriate prep) and looks great when finished. Definitely value for money and, in my view, better than most ‘name’/popular brands. Brush cleaned well with water.

Exterior masonry paint
Easy to apply with pleasing results. Bought to use on concrete fence posts so didn’t know how or if it would be suitable. Applied to brand new, dry concrete posts which were almost white in colour. I wanted to bring the colour closer to the anthracite grey of some new composite fence panels and this worked well. It does soak in to the porous concrete somewhat. Waiting to see the effect after winter weather has done its worst but there’s plenty paint left to apply an extra coat. A good product.

Bright white and great finish in one coat on our wall around the fireplace
Bright white and covered the wall around our fireplace easily in one coat. Dried out quickly.

Excellent Quality Product
I bought the Wall Guard Masonary Paint in anthracite to paint some faux lead pots in my garden. The product arrived ahead of time - three weeks earlier than expected. It was a nice consistency - not watery or thin so didn't drip. Application was great, I used both brush and roller. I only needed one coat to get the desired effect which I have to say is stunning as some of the pots were almost white with sun fading whilst others were darker but they all came out exactly the same colour. I have seen comments about not good coverage and needed two coats. The tin I have says two coats. Like any paint you need to order enough for your purpose. In fact I ordered too much as I only needed one coat - I painted 26 square pots and 17 troughs. One person gave one star which was worrying so I made of reading the review. Praised the product but reviewed the paint on the company responsible for its transportation which is not representative of the quality of the paint. We have a newly rendered external wall and will be order some more Polar Wall Guard Masonary paint as we are very happy with our pots. We wouldn't do that if this product was not good.

Not as black as expected
It may be that I need to apply a second coat to achieve the black colour I was expecting.. as after only one coat it is closer to a grey
