Usually it can work two to three years, and it is easy to change the battery, use a small Small Phillips screwdriver to open the case back to change the battery, thanks

Q: Are face guard bars available for this watch??

I don't believe face guards are available for this watch. It's a good watch. I have three and considering others. I love the size (large face) light weight. The multi-functions is a plus.
