Not just for skinny guys - fantastic fit for beer gut with no butt
The sizing runs ridiculously big. I have a 41.5" waist. The "36 inch" waist fits me VERY comfortably. You really need to try these on before buying or buy from a place with a liberal return policy (like Amazon). These are sold as skinny-guy low-rise jeans that hang on your hips or something like that. I've got a modest beer gut (about 20 pounds overweight) and, as someone born of northern European descent, I was born, tragically, without any buttocks. Wearing these hiked up to my waist (where all pants SHOULD be worn, kids), they fit great and are cut in such a way that you can tell where my butt ends and the backs of my thighs start. Chicks dig these! These jeans are definitely more dressy than your typical blue jeans. I can get away with looking professional but casual in most environments. I wouldn't wear them on a construction site or mountain climbing.I've bought 4 pairs of these in different colors and I've noticed Levi uses different material, not just different dyes. These blue 508 Line 8's are 92% cotton, 6% polyester and 2% elastane. I have found other colors have different blends and some fit differently. (Gray is 67% cotton, 32% polyester (yuk), and 1% elastane), black is 99% cotton and 1% elastane, and midnight forest green is 98% cotton and 2% elastane). The green fit too tight although they appear to be cut the same as the others. I bought those very cheap on clearance, so I'm holding on to them as I lose weight. The moral of the story is, make sure you try them on first or buy with a no-risk return policy.I see on Levi's website that the 508 Line 8 jeans are no longer listed, and (I presume) are being discontinued. That would be a shame, because these are truly the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn.

Get them while they last. 508 Line 8s are the perfect modern fit for guys with tree trunks for legs.
I got the Blue 2 color of this pant line. It was line 8 as product description states. These pants are great and I'm sad Levi's has decided to discontinue them. As a guy with big thighs, calfs and pretty good size butt (damn you soccer!) but desiring a more modern look with a small leg opening (read tapered) these are one of the only styles that work for me. Most other Levi's styles are either baggy throughout leaving a bunch of material by my shoes or too skinny and make me look like i'm walking around on two overstuffed bratwursts... 1% elastane is great. Rating them 4 stars as the materials between different colors vary greatly despite the description stating they're all the same. My other pair which is gray is 66% cotton 33% polyester and 1% elastane whereas these blue trousers are 91% cotton, 8% poly and 1% elastine. Many may not notice a difference but the shrinkage between the two is evident after a few washings. The blue ones shrank considerably more than my gray pair.

Better than my Last Pair
Short and SimpleThey are True Black, no fade like the picture may show, they are BLACKFit Perfectly, However they definitely sit below the waist, this is my 1st pair of Jeans that have, its nothing too big, type of style i guess, but is a noticeable difference. when i say below the waist i mean below waist but higher then middle of the butt, around mid way.Big on Quads but Slim down on Calfs. For the Skinny jean look but for big leg muscular guys. Looks better than the picture, on you most likely.Loved them, Will most likely only buy this Cut from Now on, Don't really know any other kind of jean like this, if you do please reply back to me I would like to know. But for now i will keep buying these and trying on others in storePS- They are Slightly Stretchy, to gip your leg a bit better, so it isn't flopping around at the calf, like the 501's , but not like spandex look or anything. And Line 8 Twill Pants are just a slightly different style, more casual dressy look. A middle between kaki material and Jean look

Levi's Men's 508 REGULAR Taper Fit Line 8
I am 55 and have always had a medium build. I hate baggy clothes, especially jeans. It has gotten harder over the years finding true tapered jeans. I am a die hard Levi's fan since I was a teenager. When I came across these on Amazon I was a bit dubious as these are not made in America. But I like different colored jeans as well as the regular "Blue" jean. Which the 508 offers on Amazon. These jeans fit well, the taper is perfect and the assortment of colors is varied enough to get me back all the colors I've traditionally worn. I've checked the department stores and not been able to find the assortment or in many cases the 508 line. So once again, Amazon to the rescue. Order today, here tomorrow, if you have PRIME. And you should have PRIME.These jeans fit well, wear well, I love them. So far I've only bought 6 pair, which should say something. Try em, you'll love em.

A bit tight around the legs, but not waist.
I have very muscular legs, I am 5'9" about 190 lbs, bought 32x29, there was leftover in the waist section, and the length was great, the only thing is that the legs weren't roomy enough, it almost looked like i was wearing tights or something around my legs, but the waist was very generous for 32, and I gave them to my brother as he is almost 32 but it fit him much better around the waist (wasn't are much left over at the was it and he has skinner legs). The reason I gave it 5 stars is because it was exactly what was seen or advertised, the color was exactly like it was shown, and the fabric was great, the product was very good.

Great pair of jeans...order smaller than you think
I really love these jeans. I am 6 ft tall, 200 lbs. I work out a lot and I have big thighs, so these jeans are great. I would normally get a length of 34, but these jeans run a little big. I got a 34 waist and a 32 length and they fit perfectly. These are 508 line 8. The line 8 means that they have 1 or 2 percent elastine. The stretch in the fabric is great for guys with "athletic" legs. I tried the regular 508 that are 100% cotton and they do NOT fit me well at all. They are just to tight in the legs and to big in the waist. I love these!

Dont put in the dryer
They fit well when I first got them but when I put them in the dryer they shrunk to the point I could not zip them up, I would suggest getting one size up if you do not want to hang dry them, they have been sitting in my dresser for a year now unwearable.
