Chef's Larder Buffalo Sauce 1 Litre

I love buffalo wings and been trying different sauces and marinades. I saw this and thought I’d try it. Definitely more of a sauce than a marinade. Add it to your chicken after it has been cooked and you’ll love it. Nice and hot, piquant flavour. Not classic buffalo, but sweeter than bitter, but close enough and fantastic value. About to order another for the larder, for when this one is used up in the fridge.

This is a very hot sauce and deserves respect. I love my hot food and sauces, so I have a high tolerance, and I can say this sauce is definitely on the high end of heat. It's not the hottest sauce in the world, but you will feel that fire in your mouth. I use this sauce for dipping and it's now my number one sauce.

OK, so it is hot. Nice and hot. That part I liked. The problem is it has no taste beyond that heat. It does not taste like buffalo sauce at all, and is the completely wrong colour. I don't know why they have called it that, but as someone who spent 9 years living in the USA I can tell you it is not buffalo sauce. Not at all.

You get loads for your money and the sauce is good but a bit more vinegary than Frank's hot sauce - a v good substitute nonetheless.

Seen that my local takeaway uses this as their buffalo sauce. Delicious

This is absolutely revolting, tastes nothing like it should. More like rancid vinegar! Poured it down the drain, waste of money

This sauce is HOT!! The family all like spicy food but this was too hot for my wife but my son just about managed it with a lot of swearing and 3 pints of milk. Try a little bit 1st then add melted butter if you want it a bit milder. Probably wise.

This suace isn't as hot as you think even though it contains habanero chillies, it has more of vinegar flavour. I mainly used it as a side dipping sauce then pouring over my food. The thickness was more like a dressing for a salad
