Bristan ZI SHXSMCT C Zing Cool Touch Thermostatic Bar Shower with Single Mode Kit & Standard Connections

I had my old metal Bristan shower and it developed a leak, so I was looking to replace it. I came over this cheaper alternative and decided to give it a go. I'm positively surprised by the quality. Installation was very easy with correct adjustable spanner. It allowce to change favourite temperature set. This showe has came with 5 years warranty, so even if it'll fail after that time and will go and replace it with another identical one as the price paid is no brainer.

Easy to install although this cheaper version the adapters included are for installations that deviate from the usual 150mm centres. Luckily I already did the first fix with a Mariflow PL8 kit that includes straight adapters/fixing for 150mm centres lining up the thermostat neatly with the holes. It's not obvious from the description but the more expensive fast fit version includes these.

Good mixer bar, nice solid lump of metal. Shame about the rail fittings which are cheap plastic and the covers which screw on to hide the plumbing didn't fit up agains tthe wall. But I got this as an exact replacement for my old mixer bar and it took 5 mins to swap. Works well so far, lovely hot shower tonight! So overall, good value for money, especially if you just want a replacement mixer bar, hose and shower head.

Bought this to replace thermostat bar on existing one , just as cheap to buy whole thing than just cartridges. Although is same model they have improved the design and look. Fitting is easy and clear instructions . You would prob want to buy a new shower head, it's a bit small one provided .

This is the 3rd Bristan shower I’ve fitted in the same wet room and never had to alter pipes or connectors which is a bonus, but there was a filter washer missing from this pack 🤔 and was already fitted to the hot water intake however working perfectly

Have had two zing shower bars before and after a couple of years they have failed. First was fitted by the builder and lasted 5 years before failing and the second I got lasted three years before failure. This time, the bar sent has the temp control on the cold side, which I hope will mean less wear on the cartridge. The design has been improved, more stylish and the control to turn the water on and off has been made to be a lighter touch, which is good for those with less strength. Happy with this, 58 pounds, can;t really go wrong. Took me 5 mins to fit. Water off, old one off, new on one, water on and done!

We have this in a stand-alone shower and I agree with other reviews which mention the low flow rate. It looks good, it's useable, but at a much lower flow rate than our other shower. I wish I'd known about this before purchasing. Otherwise it looks good and is ok, just a bit poor on the flow.

Ok for the price, the hot & cold markings and on off markings are barely visible - plumber found it easy enough to install
