I was looking for a quality ball head without an Arca-Swiss attachment so I could all my own PGYTECH Quick Release Plate +Adapter w/Arca Swiss Camera Quick Release Clamp. It's perfect.

Had this for a few days. Ok for the price to be fair. I wanted the smallest, lighter ball head I could get for a monopod to take a camera or monocular. Ball locks ok for monocular or short zoom on SLR but probably not good enough for a long lens but then again you would buy a more substantial head.

Looks like a well made and good value ball head which should work well on my monopod/pole. Not had need to use yet.

The video goes into much more detail, including a full overview of what you get and a demo of use cases for each part.However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Build quality of the ball head is excellent.+ Gives superb precision when it comes to the exact angle of a shot. Easy to control.+ Support for 1.4" and 3/8" tripod mounts.Things I didn't like:- The included smartphone holder feels very cheap. It's not why you're getting this though.Do I recommend it?Yes - for the ball head. It's superb quality and works extremely effectively. No for the smartphone holder, which is cheap and more of an afterthought. You should see that as a nice little bonus included in the package, but it's not the reason for buying this. The ball head is excellent - that's what you're paying for.

This Mini Ball Head arrived in a plain looking, Manbily branded, brown cardboard box. Inside the box is ball head, a phone holder and 2x ¼”-20 to 3/8”-16 adapters.Having used a couple Manbily products in the past, I was looking forward to trying this mini ball head mount out. Unfortunately though, the locking knob was locked solid and I was unable to turn it to loosen the ball head. I even tried sticking it in a vice and using a large wrench on it to try and twist the knob, but to no avail, it wouldn’t budge.Hopefully this is a one off, but as I can only review the item I have been sent, this gets a very disappointing 1 star.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it. This MANBILY ball head is amazingly high quality with the striking finish and engineering make it probably the only ball-head you will ever need. It looks good in the Amazon product photos but when you handle it and examine it in detail you soon realise that it's an absolutely top notch piece of kit.In the box you get the red satin-finished ball head, a smartphone holding clamp and two tripod bush adapters (one as a spare?) used for making the 3/8" bush size down to a standard tripod 1/4" bush size (or vice-versa).One of the most impressive parts of the design is the super-large 28mm rotating ball mechanism which is controlled and tightened using the very large knurled tightening knob. I think that the main advantage of the extra large ball and knurled tightening knob is that just a little slackening-off of the knob allows for smooth movement and only a gentle tightening of the knob secures the ball-head in the exact position you require. I am convinced that it's the large scale dimensions of the mechanisim that aids swift, secure and exceptionally easy adjustment. A smaller ball-head & knob probably just wouldn't yield the same quality of operation.On the circular platform that supports a camera, phone, projector, light etc there's a good grippy rubber-type surface and this really helps when securing a piece of photographic equipment to the ball head.There are two 1/4"-3/8" tripod adapter bushes supplied with the ball head. I guess one can be considered as a 'spare' but actually, should you need to use a 3/8" adaptor on the ball-head circular platform's bush then the 'spare' adapter comes into play (I believe that some projectors use a 3/8" thread so that's a possible use. For my purposes I just required the one 1/4" adapter so the 2nd one will definitely be a 'spare' for me.With the ball head there's a smartphone sprung clamp. I must admit that the build quality of this is nowhere near the rubust quality of the ball-head but, frankly it's clear that the ball-head is the star of the show. The phone clamp is adequate and that's about all I can say about it - I guess it's very lightweight construction is not a bad thing. Actually, I do like the little flip-out stand on the phone clamp, something I haven't seen before.I must say that I am enormously impressed with the MANBILY ball head. It's frankly superb and one of the best examples I have seen of this type of product. It's going to be a permanent addition on one of my main tripods and I think that the retail price of just under £19 is great value for such a top-notch product.
