Easy install and works great
Third time turns out to be a charm. First system I purchased (different brand) was delivered without the inside unit. Amazon never located the missing carton so it had to be returned. Second system (also a different brand) appeared to be low on freon. When I opened the freon valves, no sound of moving freon and no change in pressure on my manifold gauge. Outside unit would not come on. I emailed the manufacturers customer support and the next morning submitted a request via their website. That was last week. Still no response from them. So, the second system was returned.I chose Della this last time because they advertise their customer support. The installation went exactly as it should have and the unit is working flawlessly so far. As others have said, it is quiet both inside and out. Easy to sleep with it running on quiet setting. It is fully featured with the swing capability for air flow both horizontally and vertically. Air is cold in cool mode and quite warm in heat mode. I especially like the app. If I wake up cool or hot in the middle of the night, I can adjust any settings without having to get out of bed and find the remote. As with other systems, installation requires a vacuum pump and manifold gauges or a vacuum gauge. (Lots of videos on YT for the entire process). My manifold gauges were old and designed for 134a in cars, so I purchased an inexpensive set and an inexpensive vacuum pump on Amazon. Both worked great. I also did not like the extra line length laying around outside, so I purchased a inexpensive flaring kit (on Amazon) and shortened the lines. It was easy to do and I am pleased with the end result. If you want to do the same and have no experience with copper tube flaring, suggest you cut the lines a bit longer than you need so that you can make more than one attempt. My first attempt was not good but second time was perfect (or close enough). Lots of videos on YT on how to properly flare a copper line. One thing I did not pick up on YT was the proper technique for reaming the line after cutting (with the proper tool). I was much too aggressive in my first attempt. Very little pressure is required.A finale humorous note: these Chinese companies seem to use the same printer for their instructions - with different covers for different brands. Both the second system and this Della had the exact same instructions - down to the grammatical errors.May 2025 update. Have now been through an entire heating season. On an especially cold day (for us) - in the 20s - I tested the inside temp. It was 112 degrees coming out of the louvers! Impressive!Have only used it occasionally for cooling but am extremely satisfied in both heating and cooling mode. I plan to buy an 18000 btu for our lake place when my old unit dies.

Get this one
This mini split is perfect. Super quiet, it looks good, fairly easily to install (it does take two men) and most importantly- it cools! My shop is about 400+ sq ft, one larger room, a little bathroom, an office and storage room. It all stays cool. I did buy a slightly oversized mini split. I think that might make the difference if all the little rooms are cool, not just the larger. I would install a new set of batteries into the clicker right off the bat though. The batteries provided jist arent worth a flip. But- it’s a fantastic little minisplit. Does the job very quickly. And this is in the middle of the day with Texas heat. Easy to recommend.

Great value, works well and is very quiet
I bought this mini-split unit because it is one of the few that I could install myself. Although it requires having a vacuum pump and a vacuum gauge set the investment in tools is minimal compared to the cost of having a unit like this professionally installed. Please note: the unit itself is very straightforward as far as connecting the inside and outside units together and charging the system HOWEVER there is a significant amount of additional work that needs to happen to actually get the unit fully installed on your house. This additional work may include running new electrical branch circuits through your house, opening up walls with all of the associated drywall, stucco or siding repair, possible concrete work, possible plumbing work, finishing work to cover the refrigeration pipes, etc. Just be certain that you know what you are getting into before starting this project. That said, I did install the unit myself, it turned out great and I am very happy with it but it was considerably more work than I had anticipated. The unit itself is fantastic! It cools my 12' x12' bedroom down in minutes and has enough additional cooling capacity to keep my entire house cool on a 100 degree day just by placing a small fan at the door of the bedroom that blows the cold air to the rest of the house. At night it keeps the bedroom cool while making hardly any noise. The noise that it does make is a quiet ssshhhhhhh sound that is about as loud as a whisper and it works perfectly as a white noise generator. The outside unit is also very quiet. When I first turned it on I didn't even realize it was running. I chose to wall mount the outside unit on brackets as opposed to bolting it to a concrete slab but I imagine it would be even quieter if it was slab mounted. If you wall mount it you will need to purchase brackets separately. There are specially designed brackets specifically for mini-splits and they are relatively inexpensive. So far my only complaints about the unit itself is the lack of adequate protection for the refrigerant lines. The tape wrap that comes with the kit is woefully inadequate in my opinion and I ran out of the tape with several feet left to go. Even with the tape the lines appear unfinished and are poorly protected from the elements. To address the issue I bought a mini-split duct kit to cover the lines which resulted in a well protected, professional looking final installation (see picture). Consider this step an absolute necessity.I decided not to bother installing the wifi control app on my phone. Based on what I could see the only additional advantage of the app is being able to set schedule times which is a feature that I don't use.Considering the immense value for this mini-split unit I would absolutely recommend it as long as you are an advanced level DIY'er. If you are not comfortable dealing with electrical installations and the National Electrical Code and if cutting a big hole through your wall scares you then I might suggest finding a different solution to your cooling situation.

It works great and is very quiet!
Had a A/C service install the unit, I’m disabled, but it’s very straightforward from what I could tell if you have some mechanical and electrical skills along was following directions, it shouldn’t be hard to install. The unit cools and heats well. I’ve had the heat on to dry out cabinets in my shop/office after painting them.So far I’ve been very satisfied with this unit. Seems well constructed and runs efficiently! It’s very quiet and just what I needed. Where I live it’s hot and humid, but cools great. I recommend it!!
