Minwax 40900000 Wipe-On Poly Finish Clear, pint, Gloss

I bought this to finish a guitar I'd been building after seeing someone use it on a YouTube video . The only real problem being it's not readily available in the UK . It's also expensive to buy but saying that you will get a lot of coverage from it . I'd stained and rubbed down the guitar body and started wiping it on with some lint free cloth . It didn't take long to dry as it's quite thin . I personally left it longer than recommended on the tin just to let it harden properly . I gave it a rub down with some 1000 wet and dry between coats and ended up putting four coats on . I have to say I'm pleased with the result , especially as it was the first time I'd used it ( I'm not a luthier or involved in woodworking ) . I was probably pleasantly surprised at the result more than anything and I'm already in the process of building another three guitars . I'd recommend this as much for ease of use as the results .

So easy to use, just wipe on with a cloth. Tip: Leave to dry overnight between coats.

Purchased to renovate some window ledges. To be honest was not happy with the results after 3 coats. Decided to try my air rifle stock and the results were astounding! Literally a single wipe with a lint free cloth created the finish in the picture. So I guess it depends on the wood to be covered.

first class and I have only applied one coat so far picked up a few hintts while researching the productreversing direction even by hand gets rid of cross grain sanding marks,would recomend very highly,,,

Bought it on co.uk but was apparently shipped from the US? No worries, worked out fine...

Bought this in 2015, cost £11 plus £5 postage. Now it's selling for £96? Get in the sea. It's good stuff, I used it intermittently for a couple of years as a top coat for guitar build projects - leaves a smooth glossy hard (very hard) finish, but the contents dried up solid after about half of it was used. Would buy again at a sensible price. Charging nearly £100 is utterly preposterous.

I've been using this for quite a few years, wonderful finish, just wipe on, dry light sand wipe on again, build about 4 to 5 layers for a really high gloss finish on your woodwork.

I never write reviews but this one deserves the best reviews! I have used all kinds of polyurethane, however, this is the best polyurethane ever! It is easy to use and no streaks. I refinished my baby grand piano and it looks professional. Thank you for offering such a product. And by the way, I am no professional. I read a review where someone used a foam brush to apply this polyurethane. I thank that person as well. The best idea ever! I hope you will always have this product! Thank you!

Facile à utiliser, il faut beaucoup de chiffons propres pour l'application, des gants pour protéger les mains, une zone de travail bien ventilée. Appliquer 3 couches pour une bonne finition, frotter entre les couches avec de la laine d'acier ou du papier de verre de 1000 grains pour enlever la poussière.

I was surprised how well it worked. I put down 3 coats.it dries in 3 hours. Be sure to wear gloves. It gets sticky on your hands.

This works wonderfully for any DIY wood project. It's easy to apply, dries very quickly, looks great and protects the wood well. It takes a while for the odor to disappear. All in all, a very good product!
