It smells super clean! You do have to saturate your dogs fur A LOT for this to work. It does help on some matted fur, but not all matted fur.

My doodle had to get cut super short due to matting so I’ve been in the hunt for a great detangler. My hunt continues. This smells great but so far it hasn’t been all that helpful with his hair. He’s still pretty short haired and I comb him daily. The detangler doesn’t seem to do much other than make him smell nice - which is a plus. :) He doesn’t seem bothered by the smell or application of it. Great product! Received and used this prior to an overdue grooming appointment - worked wonders on underlying tangles. Helped the doggo avoid his usual shave down haircut, resulting in a softer more appropriate winter cut.
