I hope the original person who posted the question reads this. I just bought this press, and it’s great; however the bottom of the box clearly states “Made in China”. The back of the box, and the Amazon description both state, “Designed in Germany” and “meets German engineering standards”. But….it is MADE in China

Q: Is this press for flour tortillas? And will it press them thin?

It can press flour tortillas, it has been developed with optimized mechanism to minimize the force needed during the pressing, but to get them thin, you might need to use rolling pin after pressing it. The effect of gluten in the flour makes flattening the dough very difficult. If you will use corn flour (gluten-free), we can easily make thin tortillas.

Q: Does it have a 1/8" gap when closed?

The gap can reach to 1/8", but you may need to try it till you reach to the perfect thickness you need.

Q: Where is the recipe e-book? Says to follow information in manual. I did not get that either!
