Best brace..ever!
It is January 1st 2020. Back, at the end of August 2019, I was loading bags of crushed marble onto the back of a truck (to use on the side path of my house) and a bag shifted, bending my left thumb backwards. The pain was excruciating. I saw my orthopedist. He put me in a plastic, custom moulded, removable cast/brace. Because I opted not to have the cortisone shot, he said it would be two to three months for it to heal. I'm a guitar player, martial arts teacher and I lift weights. Needless to say, this has put a MAJOR crimp in my life. The pain is so bad that my wife has to help me put my socks on...so embarrassing.I have a recording studio and my band rehearses, records and does videos. I've tried to lay off, but there are times that I have to play. Having been a martial artist for over 40 years, I have a high tolerance to pain. I wrap my wrist, very tightly, and play through the pain. I pay for it afterwards and use ice and heat.Because I can't lift weights (and all this holiday food 😊) I have gained quite a bit of weight...which leads to why I'm writing this review (something that I don't normally do).Afte a while, the cast/brace that I got from the doctor...and wasn't cheap..started to cause me more pain. Sleeping was difficult. I searched for an alternative. I am siting her looking at my graveyard of failed braces. Seven in total. Some I could sleep in, but were horrible for daytime, others caused pain or offered little or no support. I figured that I'd try yet another brace. Based on the reviews, I bought this one. When it came, I tried it on and experimented with different tensions until it felt right. It kept my wrist immobile, while remaining comfortable. Cool! Here's why I'm writing. Just a half hour ago I finished a work out. It's been four months since I've been to the gym. I can't support the weight of a coffee cup...never mind 300lbs at the gym. I have a Bowflex at home. I got the idea that, "since this brace is so good (and adjustable), might I try a Bowflex workout...to start getting back in shape?"That's what I just did. I ratchet up the brace, nice and tight, making sure it was totally immobile, and did a work out. Amazing! No pain during the workout...except for muscles 😊For the bench press, I got it up to 17 reps with 260lbs (which really doesn't translate to the real world, but still), I usually do 25 reps with 310 on the bowflex (again, not real world weight). I'm thrilled. I can sleep in it, I can workout in it, it's comfortable. What more can I ask for? Awesome brace. Best ever!

Supportive
My husband is waiting to see a specialist for his tendinitis, tendinosis, and torn ligament. We have tried a few different brands of braces but this is his favorite. We bought 2 to cycles so I can was one while he wears one. They was well, this brace is supportive and fits his wrist. The elastic is good, and they don't curl back like others do.

Comfortable, Don't Size Down For Borderline Measurements
I have a tendonitis diagnosis and doctor directions to wear a brace a few hours a day. The brace provided to me at the doctor's office was terrible, it had a hard bump that gouged the inside of my wrist joint to the point of injury (brand: Bird and Cronin). I read reviews on other braces and this one sounded good.My wrist is exactly 6" around so I first ordered the small. The instructions that came with it showed the blue edging cinched nearly to meeting along the top of the forearm, which the small was nowhere near doing. I tried it anyway for a day and realized it didn't brace the top of my wrist, plus it chafed between my thumb and forefinger so I had to fold a tissue in as padding. It's not expensive, so I ordered the medium, which fits much better though it has an extra long velcro strap that gets in the way of the thumb straps. The brace holds my hand comfortably still and is pretty easy to put on and off (I'm not in a lot of pain or dealing with a break, so this may not be true for some users -- I just need my wrist held still for a while but can easily use my hand when not using the brace). I docked one star simply because I really liked the Bird and Cronin fastening more, as that was a cross lacing that easily cinched shut with a couple of pulls on the straps. This brace has three straps to close in a specific order and as mentioned above the top strap tends to block where the thumb straps need to stick down. The pictures show someone doing all sorts of activities in the brace. Be warned, you won't be speed typing with it on even if you unstrap your thumb. But you will have some use of the hand (I wore it out to the pet store and was able to carry bags of cat food cans with it).I'm not sure how to rate "Range of motion" since the idea is to have -no- range of motion. But my fingers can wiggle and the brace is fairly light weight. For context I have noodle arms and lifting a one pound weight at extension as I had to do for PT a couple of years ago is about my limit, yet this brace caused me no fatigue waving my arm around.

Amazing
This is hands down the best wrist brace I have ever used. I have been struggling with wrist pain for years, which became extreme after I spent one summer break working as a housekeeper. My hand was bent inward towards my body, which caused one of the bones in my wrist to look like it was protruding. I physically could not straighten my hand on its own, and when i used my other hand to push it into place it caused me excruciating pain that was unbearable. My doctor suggested physical therapy. I decided instead to try stabilizing my thumb to push my hand slowly back into place. That is the key to this wrist brace, the thumb stabilization. Tons of wrist braces just have a hole for the thumb which is totally useless. Also, the cushioning is really nice if you're dealing with a lot of pain like I was.The fact that the braces don't go too far up my arms helped a lot too, because restricting blood flow to the painful areas of the wrist/hand can make the pain much worse. I bought two of these braces, one for each hand and slept with them every night. After about a month, my hand was totally back to normal. I could straighten it easily with no pain and I didn't need physical therapy after all. I recommend these wrist braces wholeheartedly.
